  1. We do indeed Oldman Lee,  If you could provide your real life name and send your money to the Tanelorn Paypal account, that would be splendid.

In other news, Mr Marshall sadly has double booked himself.  If you would like to apply for the position of his Diary Management Executive, then please drop him an email with your covering letter, CV, and explain how you would escape a blender if you were a pencil in less than 500 words.

    However.......

And we welcome Nick Featherstone to the arena.

We only have 24 spaces in total, and the best way of getting it confirmed is sending your money through.  If you have any queries, then please do not hesitate to ask.

  3. Hi Jim (and the rest of your group)

    welcome to Malifaux!

this will be a new person friendly event. The biggest bit of advice I can give to you is practice getting all five turns in during the time limits we list in the rules pack. Will you make some mistakes in playing? Sure, but you'll be surprised how you can improve relatively quickly keeping your pace up. Apart from also reading through your cards a few times a couple of days before hand then you are really good to go.

its fixed faction, but nothing stops you just taking one master through out the day. In fact I regularly take master I haven't plaid for a while and then not be so worried about where I come!

Also, if you look across the forums there are quite a few other London events over the coming months. From the flames is this Saturday (and will have some of the best terrain you will see), crofaux is in October, and we have a story event on Sunday as well if you feel like getting to Leytonstone 12 ish.

wow, that was a longer post than I thought!

  4. Yeah I didn't realise that either until he got magnatism'ed by a Ramos player quite early in my playing...

Also for the pure lol of putting fear not the sword on Hoffman and he soulstone torches someone to death, combined with him having the nimble upgrade to die in the correct place to drop a scrap and scheme marker, brutal effigy can do some stuff.

  5. Yeah i usually take badge of office on justice or macmourning if assassinate is in the pool.

I take lead lined coat on judge, but usually with the peacekeeper as well just to keep people guessing

I do love plant evidence on enforcers

    Sometimes take expert sleuth.

Saying that, i think most of the master specific ones are quite ace, so perhaps that balances it out?

  6. Saying that, Lady J is easy to play but hard to master.it was only when I took badge of office and a brutal effigy that I saw here start to last a game. The unimpedided upgrade is totally awesome sauce. It adds loads to her threat, and I really want to manouvere her so I can get 'with me!' And 'inspiring swordsplay' off.

And I always sing her name like its a bad 80s cartoon intro. That may be the main reason why I play her actually!

  7. Yeah Perdita is my fav. planning on going on a long Sonnia once grimwell and friends are out (and queeg, can't wait to start using him more).

What I like about shooting in this game is that it's more about pulling people in to counter attack rather than destroying them from afar. Threat projection only works if people have to walk a no man's land, which if you have the right terrain should not be happening.

Hence I think the key is to have some shooty high points, but then models who can then engage in melee. For example I usually get the pale rider/peace keeper married I to the family with Abuela pretty quickly as they help support this.

    Hope this helps (?)
