Anyway to group those of us who want to put in the extra bit of painting or basing or whatever into a separate group from those that prefer not to so we can be better matched up?
Unfortunately we can not group these for painting or basing as it would make everything too complex. However if you would like to receive something painted then list it with your choice faction or factions you would like to receive from. However it can not guarantee that you will receive someone willing to send a painted model or receiving someone that would want a painted model.

Can we REQUEST a person that is ok with getting a painted gift or with getting a painted gift.
I think it would be rad to be able to say "This model/cres was painted for me by a fellow hobbyist that I have never met. And they are playing with a model/crew that I painted for them also!"
You would need to ask permission from the person you received if you could send painted models to them. if you want to receive painted models then send me a message that you are willing to receive a painted model and whoever receives your name will be notified of same along with the factions you prefer. Please keep in mind though that whoever receives your name is not obligated to send a painted model but it is an option if they so choose.

Oh, this is interesting. Simply giving gifts, as in unopened items?
The forum I use to be most active on had a similar exchange like this, Christmas in July I believe it was called, but the express purpose was to model/paint a figure so the person receiving would then own something unique crafted by another person's hands.
I mean, a gift exchange is cool, it's just.. I can buy/receive new models in the mail already. Is it typical that people don't hobby the item in question for their giftee, or is that something more common? I'm just curious, because I find that interaction a bit more interesting, although it is of course potentially more time consuming to build/paint a model for someone, so understandable if that is not the case.
Yes you can buy and receive models whenever you decide to purchase them however, this is a gift exchange from someone you do not know. It is the in spirit of the holidays, and who does not like a gift? Also it may help build up your collection of models for a specific faction, for example maybe you just started out in the Neverborn fatcion by getting a Lillith Crew box, someone that received your name may know a lot about Lillith and get you models that work well with her (i.e. Waldgeist)
Also as long as the person you received give you permission you may paint or base the model but again you would need there permission first.

It's that time of year again, that's right it's the 5th Annual Holiday Miniature Exchange! Now you are probably thinking, "Hey you're not Rameses! Why are you doing this?" Well Rameses had to step away this year, and has asked me to organize the exchange this year. Not to worry though, I come here today to open up the Holiday festivities for 2015.
Sign up starts now October 19th through November 20th. You will recieve the name of the person you are giving a gift to on November 22nd.

Here is how it works...

Your Name
Your Address
Faction or Factions that you wish to receive a gift from.
Answer this question: Are you willing to ship Internationally?
Now understand this is not a contest for gives the best gift. Give what you can afford. But please understand; if you are asking for a Crew box for gift, it would only be fair to be willing to gift the same.
That said there is a minimum dollar cost for the gifting process. I only ask keep the gifts cost to a minimum of $20.
And lets be fair as gamers $20 is a drop in the Hobby bucket.
So the lets cover legal mumbo-jumbo. This is not a Wyrd Miniatures sponsored event, so Wyrd Miniatures and it's affiliates are in no way responsible or accountable for this Exchange.
This also is not a Miniature grab. Please do not sign up for this exchange then disappear. While I can't hunt you down and make "Bad Things Happen" to you (afterall I am a decent "Being") I can prevent you from participating ever again in the Holiday Miniatures Exchange.
Gifts are expected to be in the mail and delivered to their recipient by December 31st.

A: Yes feel free to, but it is nice to contact them to verify with them that it is ok to do so.

I have never heard of most of these, but from the way you described them, I would be willing to watch them. For the foreign films, would there be English subtitles, or would I have to try and interpret?

Out of the Dual Faction Masters, which is the most efficient as solely ran as a Ten Thunder and why?

I played him against a guild crew, Fuhatsu was able to wipe out two Rifleman, a Guard, a Witchling Stalker, and bring an Austringer down to 1 wound. most of these hits were for moderate damage so they were one hit kills against the Guild. My Opponent didn't like him and did everything in his power to get rid of him but pulling a severe on Juggernaut didn't help his cause.
To answer your question, he is very useful with either wiping models off the board or being a big enough distraction where your other models can go about their business to secure VP.

Maybe the real reason is that it is starting to get warmer outside, and summer is just around the corner, and all of Wyrd wants us to go outside and play, instead of painstakingly assemble minis, or paint them to the finest detail. Maybe they want us to go have fun, go to the beach, get a tan (or burnt in my case) go for a stroll in the park etc. Breath in fresh air!
Honestly though, I have such a back log I am content on waiting.

yes the model who gave distract can die.That's what I thought too, however my opponent figured the model distracting the other model had to survive because how could a "dead" model distract? Like they saw it as "the model is jumping up and down, waving arms, doing everything possible to distract that model. But when its dead, it just lies there..... doing nothing."

A friend and I were playing a game and in our scheme pool was both Cursed Object and Distract. We both ended up taking these schemes, and as the game went on I had my master and minion being surrounded by enemy models. Am I able to use all 3 of my AP from my master to do Distract on one enemy, Distract on another enemy and Cursed Object on one of those two enemies, or is that not allowed? Also when distracting an enemy model, does the model that gave Distract to that model have to remain alive for the duration of that turn in order for Distract to be effective? Or can they die and the Distracted enemy model still be Distracted and count for points?

Hello All!
I hope everyone has enjoyed there holidays thus far and have received your gifts. If you have not received a gift at this time do not fret as shipping may take a little longer than expected with the holidays, or even due to the weather. I ask that if that is the case please notify your giftee and let them know that it is on the way if the tracking still has it as shipping, so that way no cause for alarm or concern.
I do ask that if you have not received anything (gift, or notice) by Tuesday evening your time to please send me a message. Again hope everyone is enjoying their holidays!
