Malifaux Gotland will run a league this fall from August to December for especially new and returning players.

The goal of the league is get more people playing Malifaux and get a growing Malifaux community locally.

The league will have five rounds. Starting with smaller to increasingly larger sized games. 

The format is fixed faction, fixed keyword, each player chooses a henchman leader for the starting round.

Calling fellow grey beards for wisdom. In which Wyrd Chronicles can I find the article about running demos and introducing new players? 

You will lack hitting power without the Students. Especially Viscera. Will it be playable, absolutely! But Schtook, Val, and Anna will have to do most of the heavy lifting, which might be more than they can handle at times.

Mindless Zombies are great when summoned. Would not hire them with Schtook. 

You can solo Schtook2 in keyword and do very well. No doubt. The crew is just solid and have enough tricks to tackle almost any situation. Restless spirits (for pushes and extra activations), Sloth (alpha striking with Valedictorian), Grave Digger (mass focus) and Bone Pile (more healing) are good versatile hires.

How do you all play around mcmourning getting distracted by summoning Fleshies? Concentrate to cancel, getting focus from Grave Digger or GST, having a baby sitter assisting Mcmourning, something else?

Borrowing Sloth's Fast action seems ok too. So many options.

Plastic Surgery states Friendly Experimental Only does that mean that both the source of the action and the target needs to be a friendly Experimental?

Thunders seem to be in an ok spot in gg3. Between Oni, Yokou 2, Lynch 2, Mei 2 and bad grampa 2 we should have a solution for most pools and match ups.

A bit sad that most non title masters are kind of out classed at the moment. I have a hunch that most of them were balanced around now errated upgrades. Can at least be part of the explanation.

How does Nexus 1 play post errata? Is it still an ok master, or is it a lot of tinkering without much pay out? If there is some light for ol'Nexus, are there any pools where its a better choice than Nexus2? 

Couple of McM2 questions.

How does the crew handle armor, sheilded, and other damage reductions? 

Is it a crew which mostly can be played in keyword? 

Maybe this is a dumb question, but here goes. Winter's Strike states that the target suffers +1 if any blasts are touching an Ice Pillar marker. I think the intention is that models damaged by this Action's blasts markers suffers+1 damage if the blast marker is touching an Ice Pillar marker. However as it is worded now it seems like the original target suffers +1 damage if a blast touches a ice pillar. How should it be played? 

Shang doubled his cost. He and Misaki are now 19ss. And that is a lot.

Huggy may be a nice fit for similar reasons. 

Maybe it is just me, but I cannot get over dis McCabe having extended reach (preventing charges from 2" away), but only having 1" range on his saber. Cant he have the whip while a foot and the sabre on horse? Makes more sense. 

How about Yan Lo with his demise ability, or giving McCabes horse h2k. 

Silent protector got reworked for 2.6.19. Hard to kill for everyone! This seems very good. Any models you all see this work well with?

I think the intention of the rule is that Misaki only get the movement penalty if she has been buried. But its not clear. 

They should become mimics again. Creates a small link to neverborn through Lucius which also fits strongly to his theme of having influence everywhere. 

Thats a really neat TT list. Misaki, Shang, and a Torakage is enough from Last Blossom to get that code word synergy to work. Maybe that is a strike against Misaki's squad, and that they should have some more synergy. I think that trio is a pretty good way of spending 23ss and get most best parts of out of running Misaki as your master. Right now I am more eager to play Misaki as a hire rather than a master. Do not know if that is a bad thing or not.

I have not played with or against Lucius, but here goes. I think you circled something quite telling here: 46 is probably too good, but at same time that is kind of needed since it is the sole source of hitting power to the crew. If 46 is to be toned down, it is probably a safe bet that some other elite or mimic needs more offensive punch. 

Cool idea! Lynch having two ap, and Huggy three (as long as it is in play maybe?).
