  1. Howdy folks, So I'm a relatively new player, been playing Misaki in 2E and had perhaps 5 games now with her. Really enjoying her, however I've taken Oiran every time I've played and I'm struggling to make them do anything much. They either get munched or I run them out of the way doing schemes, which is fine for a 5 point model I guess but I'd like to get some more utility from them. The lure I've only used once and on my own models, I find the crow needed competes with Misaki's assassination trigger (or slow trigger on archers etc) and the other options always win out. Their attacks are fairly ho-hum and I've tried defensive stance a couple of times but it seemed like expensive use of AP for little effect. Maybe I'm not thinking the right way or expecting too much, dunno. So how do other people use them?
  2. I see what I've inadvertently done now. The high levels I can rectify however I also have a chasm running through the board. I didn't want to have a board that needed house rules, I wanted a board I could just bring to any games. Having this affectation means the board will be better for some crews than others, i.e any crew with lure or push abilities. But is this bias something that is inherent in any board set-up, what do other players think? If this is going to be a special house rule board that favours certain crews I'd be tempted to start again. Maybe Fenton's severe ruling is the best way out of this.
  3. If 2 pieces of high terrain are close together is it possible to jump from one to the other? Is there any mechanic for this? I'm starting to build a Malifaux board with multiple levels and realised I couldn't spot an answer to this in the book.
