  4. Taking Reva to a tourney this weekend, wondering what if any interesting idea people have had about her with models etc. I know its early lol. but i have only a few days to wrap my head around it, kind of disappointed that there was not carrion Emissary upgrade for her.

  5. I played Nico for about a year straight when M2E first came and had a pretty good track record with him, so  i will throw in my 2 cents:

Maniacal Laugh, Undertaker, - I almost always take these together, Mindless zombie is sacrificed when you use it to summon off and undertaker gets you a card for it, so its some inbuilt card cycle, for doing what nico does anyways, and once its a mindless it makes it my corpse marker.

reaper grin/love thy master - sometimes for each but thats the disposable upgrade for me .

Mort with corpse Bloat and sometimes my favourite shovel - fresh meat used against one of my own crooligans or necropunks, will have most of my crew at centre table first turn 1 if i want. otherwise i can walk and still find a bone because of the extra AP. expensive but useful. Fresh meat is absolutely amazing. potentially giving every undead 3 extra walk actions a turn is damn near broken.

Toshiro the Daimyo - he is my front liner with all the summons as he gives the + flips to minion ML attacks and i dont have to extend Nico a lot. i will give him command the graves if some declares Arcanists so i can potentially steal their scrap markers. he also gives out fast which is excellent on punk zombies.

thats kind of the core I like other things that get thrown in a lot are Phillip and the nanny w/ take back the night, in scheme marker heavy games i will summon drowned pretty frequently so this works well.

sebastian with those are not ours sometimes as he can lurk at the back and generate soulstones for me

    nurses are always great.

i will have a necropunk or a crooligan as well that can get up the table fast or in a good position to be a target for fresh meat for Morti, which will get almost everyone up the table.

typically i will summon a rotten belle and 1-2 scheme runners on the first turn, once they all get pulled forward by the fresh meat to where i want to be set up, the belle will lure nico forward, so i dont have to waste his AP walking.  then its just summoning whatever works but it is typically, drowned for fighting and annoyance in the middle, hanged if i have the cards, and for the no immunity aura thing.  you will out last him and your getting cards whenever he kills things within 6. you should be out activating him very quickly as well so it becomes very easy to control the board.

to keep a focus on learning to play for points we will be running a Victory point practice tournament.
Tourneament scoring for this tourney will be only Point differental and ties will be broken by total VP. In addition we will be doing Achievement scoring, if you accomplish something during your games that is on my list of interesting events, you will score points. the person with the most achievement points at the end of the tourney will win a Prize as well. because its all practice for the Masters in October, there will be no painting requirement for this tourney.

the Rounds will be 90 min and as follows:

    Round 1 - Extraction , standard Deployment
Round 2 - Squatters Rights, Close Deployment
Round 3 - Collect the Bounty, Flank Deployment

  7. ran this all weekend at a tourney and took a 2nd overall, Emissary was alright but might have been better with a mech rider in place of him.
spawning ice gamin might have been more productive. his charge scheme marker ability was a fantastic tho

    Rules
Henchman Hardcore is different from standard Malifaux in the following ways:

    • The game size is 20 Soulstones.
    • All Crews must contain exactly 4 models, no more, no less.
    • Upgrades may be purchased, as allowed by the standard rules of Malifaux.
    • The size of a Crew’s Soulstone Pool is limited by the Cache of the Henchman leading it; any Soulstones
    above this amount are discarded.
    • Any Actions, Abilities, or Triggers which summon models are considered to be “blank” (they may not be used and have no effect on the game, as if they were not printed on the model).
    • Only one Scheme will be available.
    • The same Crew must be used in each round of the event. Set Up
All rounds use the following set up:
    • Deployment: Close.
    • Strategy: Hardcore Turf War. This Strategy uses the Turf War rules
(Core Rulebook pg. 66) with the exception that VP may be scored on the first Turn.
    • Scheme Pool: Assassinate (Core Rulebook pg. 68). This is the only Scheme available and it must always be taken.

this Campaign is designed to give you a way to link multiple games together to create one long, interactive story. this campaign will last 5 weeks and over that time your models will gain injuries, curses, find unique weapons, and learn new skills. Due to the character-driven nature of the Malifaux setting this is a perfect way to experience the game, and we hope you enjoy it!At the start of the first week, each player must declare a Faction and hire their Arsenal. Declaring a Faction is done the same way as declaring a Faction for an Encounter, only it will last for the entire Campaign. A player’s Arsenal represents the models and Upgrades which a player has available to hire to form Crews for individual Encounters during the course of the Campaign. For example, you may eventually find yourself with 50 Soulstones worth of models in your Arsenal from which you will hire a 35 Soulstone Crew to complete a single Encounter. remember when deciding on your factions that you will only have henchmen available to start mates will take some work.

  13. Winters Edge Malifaux Campaign

    The Game Chamber
    1700 Dundas St. Unit 2, London, Ontario N5W 3C9
$5 entry fee ( for prizes)

The Winters Edge league will be running in an Accumulation format where players are competing to get the largest amount of Victory points. Winning is not as important as stay focused on the strategy and your schemes!

     - For each game played each player receives 2 points for playing the game and 1 point for each victory point scored in the game.
    - Each player will sign the others score sheet after the game verifying that it has been recorded correctly.
    - You may play anytime of the week at the Game chamber, make sure to turn your sheets in to the game Chamber when done playing. We still have malifaux night on Thursdays however so this is one of the best times to find a game.
    - You can only play the same player a maximum of twice a week.
    - I will be taking the sheets home for final scoring at the end of the last league night ( Jan 5th)  after league night if the scores are in then you don’t get the points!

    Malifaux Painting contest
Running at the same times as the league will be a malifaux paint contest. You may purchase any model after November 7th and let tim, cecil or Ben know that it is for the painting contest so we can verify it wasn’t painted before the league, once painted we will snap some pictures and when the 28th arrives, the 3 of us will vote on the winner. Fancy Bases can help quite a bit!
There are prizes for both contests! Good luck
