I've been eyeballing Malifaux for some time now and recently picked up my first models and played my first game. I absolutely love the models and am taking this opportunity to create a painting log for all my Malifaux miniatures. I'm starting the game with the new Lady Justice crew, The Guild's Judgement. First up is the totem, Scales of Justice

Hey everybody, I've been looking at Malifaux for awhile now and have decided I want to get a crew and start learning the game. I also introduced my wife to Malifaux and asked if she would want to learn it with me. She was interested and took a liking to the Ten Thunders faction and is going to go with The Thunder box as her starting crew. After looking over the different factions and starter boxes I settled on a few to decide from for myself. I really like the Dark Debts, Lady Justice, and Lilith box sets. My question is, of the three sets I mentioned for myself is anyone of them a "bad" matchup vs The Thunder box set. The last thing I want is my wife getting frustrated with the game from the get go. Yeah, I just hate to purchase a crew and then see nice, new, shiny resculpts in plastic. That Rasputina art looks great and soo much cooler than the current models. The ice golem is sick!

Yeah, I hear that. I was all set and primed to jump into Malifaux. I guess I'll wait now. While I'm excited for 2e, I want to start playing now but I'm not going to buy a bunch of 1e stuff just to have to buy 2e stuff in 6 months. Oh well
