Cool idea Ed, I'm currently stuck between using the whole lot as Imperial Guard or to paint them up for this new game Raging Heroes is making. This is why I'm not a fan of metal miniatures, when they're large models with multiple parts unless you pin them they fall apart.

Yeah the Iron Empire models would make good count as Sisters miniatures. Just have to wait for them to arrive. Ed, you back the Toughest Girls of the Galaxy kickstarter?

Morning all. A triplane for the Krieg would be awesome. I would love to be able to start a Sisters army but there's four problems; one, I've still got a backlog of Dark Angels to deal with; two, it costs a fortune to collection them; three, the new codex is still digital only; and four, Steam would probably kill me if I bought more 40K before buying more Malifaux. *grin*

Yeah I heard about the Raspberry Pi kit. A lot of people on the course are talking about using them for the course work. I would get one but I've already spent my wage on wargaming stuff.

I believe it's a virtual machine for the Linux install but I'm backing up just in case and I haven't backed up in a long time. Also will be messing around with Damn Small Linux on a USB stick.

Morning all. Yeah community halls are expensive to hire out, does any the members of have a barn that's empty? Or if the weather keeps up being good, you could do it in a large croft.

There is a local wargaming scene on the island but non of the stores and the clubs were nearby where I was staying. I was too busy trying to visit all the historical sights that Malta has to offer.

Been really busy the last few months with Uni work. Finally finish the modules I was on at the start of September and the new one I've just started this month has a lighter workload so hopefully you guys will be seeing more of me around the forums. Also after finishing the modules, I went to Malta for a well deserved holiday.

Ah the USCR and KemVAr. I wish the USCR was in one of mega bundles as like the look and feel of their faction, I probably paint them like everybody else in Soviet green. MERCS is a very easy to get into. The game has a 5 miniature team limit for games and the starter box comes with 6 miniatures. The starter boxes come with everything you need to play the game, the only thing missing is the rulebook. Wait so Mako is also writing a novel and congratulations in getting over 42,000 words (53,000 words for Mako). I probably be able to read it after September.

Which factions did you pick up? The mega bundle I went for has the CCC and Sefadu.

In victory points it was a complete lost but if you saw the actually table it wouldn't seem like that, it was close to being mutual destruction as very few minis remained. I'm on about MERCS the game and when it arrives I will have enough to play a proper two-player game and I will be trying to do demo games with Steam and others to get them into it.

Doing good manage to hand in all my first assignments, just need to continue with the course work while I wait for the results. Manage to squeeze some miniature wargaming during last week, got myself the MERCS mega bundle off Wayland and on Sunday met and played against a local 40K group. It was great fun and I had a cavalry battle, Dark Angels Ravenwing Vs Space Wolves Thunderwolf Cavalry. It was carnage!
