  1. Personally I think Neutralize the Leader is terrible as it punishes people for playing the way Masters like Levi and Dreamer are designed to work.  Going to cause hell in single Master tournaments.

edit - shipping to the UK comes up as just over $3 which is pretty reasonable though it says 3-7 weeks!

  2. Can you play Ressers without Belles or Nurses?  Sure.  I have done so many times in my lists as they're not an auto-take.  Can you play them competitively?  Probably not.  They are both very strong models and though I have run lists without either of them those are few and far between and Nurses in particular almost always make the list.  If it's just the aesthetics that you don't like then as people have said above you can just make your own from the TTB kits which can be much less sexual.  However, be aware that you may not be allowed to use them in tournaments (if you plan on attending such).

  3. Kyle has said that the Kirai episode has been recorded so it'll be edited and put up soon!  Ikyro would be too powerful if she could be summoned from Spirits as well but gives you a reason to take some good Undead options and is one of the reasons that people suggest Flesh Constructs as summoning batteries.

  4. Don't forget that Ikyro can sacrifice herself too so you can take an attack with her the sacrifice ready to be summoned again immediately if your opponent takes another attack action against your models. The psychological advantage can be great.

  5. Could you have it so that if you win a GT then you automatically qualify but you must still have played four events? Means you eliminate any issues of anybody just turning up to one tournament (though personally I think the people likely to win the GTs are those regularly attending tournaments anyway) and then never showing (and thereby supporting the community) again.

I know Dom Westerland (Dumb Luck) has been talking about making Deliverance the Welsh GT so maybe if that can be done it would attract more players.

  6. They're not too expensive (cash wise) so it's probably worth getting one for some Molly Spare Parts summoning shenanigans.  As Fetid says it's generally not worth hiring though I have thought about taking it in a Nico Reckoning list with Nico handing out Fast and Heals like Candy.  If you ever decide to go Arcanists Marcus likes having one around!

  7. Looks interesting, need to get my paint on but plenty of time before then.  Interested in the various different formats, how likely do you think people are to declare fixed list/triple fixed?  Seems especially hard when you don't know at least the strats in advance.  I like the two hour rounds a lot though as I dislike it when you feel rushed and that is generally plenty of time to get a game finished.

  8. Would be nice if there was a FAQ confirming one way or the other. It's pretty frustrating that Wyrd seem to ignore things that would really be improved by having a FAQ (and I'm sure clarification on how thing stack would impact on a number of interactions so would be useful to know) yet are still prepared to put some very basic stuff in there when they often say the reason for omitting stuff is so it doesn't become bloated. Fingers crossed!

  9. Ama is a good addition to any crew and I like her with Jackdaw.  You need to make her Tormented (I tend to use Jack to copy a Guilty's attack first turn as he probably won't take it again meaning you won't lose the Tormented characteristic).  Her Hazardous aura is nice (though be aware that unlike Jakuuna's aura it effects friendly models as well so you must be more careful with her) and with Creeping Terror this aura will be even bigger as already stated plus she also has a very nasty attack.  It is only Ml5 but Jack's ability to drain cards means that it can be more reliable to get off and the same goes for her Devour.  As Jack can hire Nurses you can combine well with Ama by having Nurses Paralyze models then Ama Devour them.  This is quite situational and can be a little card intensive though so don't count on it (though don't forget Ama can use SS to get the Tome (I think)) she needs for Devour to go off).  She also makes a decent scheme runner as Wk6 with Flight makes her pretty nippy and when combined with Oathkeeper she can really move!  Have Jack Obey her to take a walk then she can Discard Oathkeeper for an extra AP to Walk before Delivering a Message giving her a 14" (maybe 15" if the enemy Master has a 3" engagement) range to Deliver a Message and leaving the opposing Master engaged with the rather scary Ama No Zako.

  10. My only concern about generating stones with the Effigy is that Jack isn't necessarily the most killy Master so you probably won't get that many.  He tends to watch share his attacks around to put out curses and get his friends to do stuff through Obey.  He can dish out horrible damage in combat (minimum 5 damage effectively) but he too rarely finds himself in such a position.  Lady L also seems pretty poor but I guess I should actually try running her!

  11. I think the problem is that it doesn't say whether they all have to resolve or not  There is naturally some sort of queue/stack/order/whatever you want to call it and on the one hand you have the activating model choosing order of effects and then doing everything that is stated on the ability before checking the next one but if the requirements of the latter are no longer met (out of range, out of LoS etc.) then if doesn't resolve.  On the other hand you have that you queue/stack/order whatever all the abilities that can resolve and choose the order that they resolve in but must still resolve them all even if the requirements of the abilities may become unmatched by earlier resolving abilities.   Unfortunately it's not clear which one we are supposed to do.

  12. I think I'm actually going the other way now after Bengt's response.  Although you could move the Seishin into LoS which would block the Aura the rulebook just says that you choose the order they resolve in so I think they would still have to resolve.  But I'm not 100% sure either way so would love to hear other people's interpretation.  I looked through the FAQ and there was nothing that pertained to anything similar.

We had a similar issue come up in a game the other day when I was using Jackdaw and how Fears Given Form would work.  Jackdaw can Push Tormented models 3" when they activate which would get them out of the FGF range but as the latter states 'models that begin their activation' we decided they would still have to take the duel even if the Push took them out of it.  However, Bengt is correct that Wyrd often use inconsistent language and start/begin etc. would all fall under Step 1 of the activation process so that even if you Push a model out of range or move a Seishin into LoS you would still have to resolve the effect.

Possibly a stupid question, but is it fixed lists, or just the masters that are fixed and the lists are chosen at the start of each game? (Sorry, first tournament so not too familiar with how things work yet...)

Welcome aboard!  The full rulespack is available on the first page but for this event it is just the Masters that are fixed.  Crew design is done as normal before the game.  Good luck!
