  1. I have Born on Bayou, Young Lacroix and Wong is on the way.

I've also got Ashigaru Musician and Wazabi goblins from Conforntation which I'm converting into Slop Haulers. I'll use them with Ophelias crew and I've chose more japanese looking minis to go with Wong since they are not kin. It's a shame that those goblin minis are a bit bigger than gremlins and I haven't cut off their noses, just filed them down a bit so they look smaller.

I'm not going to get any other gremlins.... I'm content with Ophelia.

I'm concentrating on Neverborn(Zoraida mostly, but since I've got almost all minis for Lilith, I'm also getting her and I'll get some of Pandora one day). I also have other outcasts(Leveticus & Victorias) and arcanists (Marcus for now).

  2. Maybe indeed. We might even meet on a tournament this summer (wishful thinking), since I've been spying Guardians thread :lucifer:.

I'm looking forward to go visiting Malifaux events myself when I'll have a viable, good looking crew ready (I hope my neverborn will live up to my expectations some day).

Post Scriptum - I was thinking of pouring some resin onto Ophelias base after I finish the highlights. I'm trynig to make it look swampy...

  3. I've started leather coats with the same brown as a base color on Rami and Raphael, and inked Ramis with brown/red mixed inks and Raphaels with green/black ink mix. From there I'll go with a more classical brown lighter tones on Rami and I'll try for more of a weathered look on Raphaels coat, but I don't have a clue which tones to try out (I speculate that a more orange looking leather would have a weathered look).

I've already finished skull facepaint on Ophelias and Francoises faces and I want to make some embroidery on Francoises poncho since I've made it white. Young un's ponchos will be striped, but one will be more plain/brown/gray and the other one will be colorful...

And I have to practice highlights... I've almost finished Francois, Ophelia and Pere, but I wasn't sure about some of the highlights so I've repainted parts with highlights...

Also I did a Beetlejuice/jail inmate striped syle suit on Francois. I'm not sure how to highlight freehand on that suit...

  4. Your Kin look great... I mean, they will look awesome when you finish them.

The paler skin looks really great on them, also love how pink gums look great and the golden NMM is coming out nice and it's a very inovative idea to make their weapon look like toy guns (without corks).

They are my first crew for Malifaux I've decided to paint and I'm very hesitant on finishing them. I hope I'll get around it soon (this weekend).

I converted ponchos for young Lacroix and made sombreros for Pere and Raphael to cover their heads... I also tried to theme them to look like they are celebrating Dia de Los Muertos, but that is the part that is proving difficult because I've found out that freehand is a bit difficult on such small minis (and I'm not such a good painter as you and other people in these galleries. I only have these wild ideas.).

Anyway I love your schemes for weapons and pale skin. Are you going to tone all of their leather in the same way or will there be difference in those? I'm trying to get different color tones for different gremlin hats.

  5. Best looking version of this beckoner I've seen yet.

But still... I have a little bit of a complaint. I don't like how her boots have come out. Maybe those are a little bit too bright or a wrong choice of color tone, detail or something, but they look too bland in contrast to the rest of the mini.

Saying that, I really like the way you pulled off the pink and her face looks very clean and expressive.

  6. Hey Demoman, is Iggy going to join the party on the display base?

I especially like the paintjob on Kaeris . She's mostly brown, but you pulled it off to look interesting. I applaud you :D

Your Rail Golem is awesome and even inspired other people to do their own oven effects, but you know that already.

The display base captures Malifaux atmosphere (of the city, not just the game) beautifully. I love the hex shaped curb tiles, they give it a sort of alien feel which wierdly works for this screwed up Victorian city...

  7. Finally, I got the relic hunters boxed set :)

I had an awesome idea for my wasterels!

Think: Gangs of New York... I imagined these guys lurking in some dark wet alley.

This is the WIP of them:

    Cheers!

    Very cool concept!

The only thing I liked about that movie was the badguy...

Are you going to draw an anti-guild graffiti on that wall behind them?

Btw... now saying that, I see someone somewhere is going to paint/convert them to look like droogs from Clockwork Orange.

  8. Love your guy illuminateds.

Your guy with hungering darkness hat is just awesome beyond words.

The other one is nicely done (especially the face), but the box looks a bit underpainted in the pictures...

The girl illuminated concept art is just too creepy for me to look at for too long, so I don't know what to say about it as a miniature (I just block it out of my mind).

I think the girl ilumni should be painted in over the top chainsaw/deliverance/human centirpede/messed-up style to stand out as a mini for me. If I was a master painter (lol) I'd do a heavy white/pink frilly/lace freehand on her skirt, with a couple of torn up edges for good measure, mud stains, palm shaped blood stain (on the dress) and leftover smeared makeup (her own).

Jakob Lynch miniatures just don't have enough synergy as a group (genre/style vise), the more human looking ones are all cool and wildwesterny and the more neverborn obvious ones are just too creepy to fit well with the human ones. The two guy-ilumnis are just somewhere in the between those concepts and the deplateds, hungering darkness and girl ilumni are just straight out freekshows. Deplateds are more Lovcraftian styled... blah blah, I can't remember what was my point :?

I love the concept of these minis individually, but not as a whole, it messes with my head...

    you mean painTless?

    I read this: pantieless O_o

  9. thx guys, and feel free to ressurrect any miniature thread you like. I'm pretty sure every one of their painters is happy to receive further recognition, no matter how long their thread has been dead ;)

That's what I'm good at. Maybe I was a necromancer in my previous life...

Btw. what miniature did you use for your Rogue Necromancy?

I'm thinking of using it for a Mature Nephilim conversion for my Zoraida's crew.

  10. Leviticuses avatar, Supply Wagon and Soulstone Miner all look awesome and fit Leviticuses stempunk gory necromancy style to boot :Robot1:

Also your Swampmaster Marcus crew is one with the best Malifauxy crew themes I've seen up to date (kudos for the crocodile necromancy).

I didn't want to ressurect the old thread because when I saw it before was before I started playing and I wasn't yet a member of this forum.

  11. I bow my head down to your Gremlin Shack. It captures Malifaux in its full glory.

Perdita/outhouse/hanging tree looks great as well. I'm sorry I got into this game so late on and your terrains give me newfound interest in the game.

Those two look a bit like they are in a nighttime enviroment.

Your terrains look like real creatures had life in them (or crap, in some cases :D).

You sir are an artist, not just a designer.

I think I'll be buying some BlackWaterGulch buildings when I start building desert/railways/"Once Upon Time in The West" styled terrain later this year after I finish my college duties.

I'm sorry I didn't do more terrains in my life, this looks like real fun.

I remember cutting all those pancakes for Warhammer 40K all those years ago.

That was a dull work (even if I did throw in some stupid details, those haven't made any difference).

  12. Hay zKoTTe! I really love your depraved take on the Neverborn (and other horror themed crews). As everyone has said already, really great creative ideas.

Most of your terrains look awesome and I'd love to play on something like that (maybe I'll steal some ideas).

  13. Great painting, bases and conversions all around.

I especially like your Zoraida crew. Glossy look looks good on Silurids and I think I'll do it on my silurids when I finish them.

Also, I love the scratch built stiched together. Little green bottles ... just WOW, what a great effect on those.

I'm building one for myself from scratch and another one will be a heavily converted Mid Nor Dwarf from confrontation...

I wish I bought stiched minis now... yours look so much much beter than the product painting.

Oh ... I remember the other reason I haven't bought them - those look too gory because of the hanging entrails (and that's not the way I roll).
