  1. The only thing that came to my mind about casting it should be cast as a 1 piece model because glued parts would look awkward.

I'm not sure how to do it, but there is some sort of a compound that is heated in warm water and it makes temporary casts...

Sorry but I don't know how it's called. I've seen people use it to cast bits and pieces, never a whole miniature, but it should be possible...

This is a great idea you have. I would actually paint it with a couple of details and ink the miniature with a thin layer of inks and draw out a couple of lines just to give it more depth... it should stay see throughable this way.

  2. I think (and hope) that the 7th Arcanist master is going to be Damian Ravencroft. He is already described in the fluff as a powerful individual, so I could easily see him as a pure or dual master.

I'd guess that Tigress Bel would be his henchwoman.

I'd love if English Ivan became generic henchman for Arcanists and the rest of Ivan's crew (Mr.Dewwalt and Ms.Havenhand) to be enforcerers.

Rose Crawshaw (steamfitter from Twisting Fates) could be Kaerises henchwoman.

@Helm: Those are my plans as well for Wave 2 beta.

Puppets & Molly for me please...

  3. Slop Hauler isn't sloppy enough :-P

Your vision is much more interesting than the Wyrds original and his overbite doesn't look so hideous in this version. He's more of a fisherman than a village idiot that I've envisioned him to be before I've seen your version.

Sheriff young Lacroix is my favorite and yours is all about respect for his Authoritah!

I wanted to post URL, but it didn't let me.

  4. Better to wait for Eric's response than riling people up.

Maybe people will see this thread. I hope Malifaux Matters don't get clean slate treatment and this thread dissapears with it because of the new forum rules and forum misconduct.

Pity I don't know too much people on the forum, since I'm newish...

  5. Uh oh, I became emotionally invested now.

I had a plan to extract all of the names (even episode characters) and places, possibly dates from the four books.

I have to lend the books again, so I'm contacting my friend now.

I recently read Dead Winter story, Rising Powers and Storm of Shadows, and I'm currently finishing Twisting Fates so I won't have a problem navigating through the books. I vaguely remember what's contained inside the Core Book.

I would leave the Chronicles to someone else or revisit them later.

Hmm hmm, who's got the new book? Mine won't be avaliable for a month or so...

  6. Daily Record is too common a name and they all have Archives.

    Malifaux Daily Record sounds good.

Heh, I also wanted to mention D&D wikis (I used DragonLance lexicon for my campaign).

I suppose it should be designed to look like some sort of a 19th century print or something like that to reflect the name.

What do you think about having official guild knowledge and outlawed knowledge on every article? And maybe Sonnia Criid's (or some other famous characters) commentary on the bottome of some articles?

I can't remember how the outlawed prints and papers were called in Rising Powers, there is also Guild Record and I remembered Daily Records were Guild Approved.

Since there aren't a lot of books for Malifaux yet it won't be difficult to enter which sources were used for each article... This will change when more of TTB books come out.

Crap, there is a Malifux Record already.

  7. I think I could bring something to the project, so yeah I'm interested in the project.

I'll just need a month to clear up my time from college duties. I elaborated what I'm about on the previous page, but I do edit my posts a lot and you might have not seen it.

    So there you go.

@rgarbonzo: it seems that you're also somewhat interested in contribootin' *grin*

About the name, did Molly wrote news for the Guild Records, or she had a name for her news or something? She'd be a good angle for that thing. (also my post from the previous thread)

  8. Could the "Fluff-centric Wiki" thread and "Can Somebody Make A Malifaux Storyline Wiki?" thread be merged since they have the same idea behind them? There are a couple of posts in both threads and could be useful toward the discussion.

Back on topic: I was thinking of the same thing for the last month. Problem is that there is a lot of data to process which would take some time and as rgarbanzo put it that the fluff is a brainchild of the games creators and writers.

What I would propose is that a skeleton of all the all the data be put together with entries containing some sparse introductions all the people menitoned in the fluff, events and locations be made and interlinked on the wiki and that the whoever will be making wiki should be given officially approved fluff material that could be merged with the Wiki entries.

I have never made a wiki, just edited entries, but I've built databases in the past and this project sounds interesting enough that I'd be willing to do something about it in a couple of months (not before October) if it gets approved.

My English is well... not the best, but I have to practice it somewhere...

As with wiki construction, I will have to learn how to program it or whatever and I'm willing to give it a shot. I've finished a webdesign course some odd ten years ago, but I'm so rusty that I would need to re-learn much of it.

If there is someone more up to the challage of building a wiki I can still help with whatever is needed.

  9. I think there should be 38 masters in total. We have seen 21 in the new book, so thats 17 to go, of which 6 are unknown to us, so I'm presuming new models for their crews as well as any random new figures we get.

I think it was 39 masters in total.

There should be 5 original Guild, 5 original Resser, 5 original Neverborn, 6 original Arcanists (1 totally new), 6 original Outcasts (1 totally new), 6 original Ten Thunders (1 totally new), 6 original Gremlins (3 totally new, Ulix will be one of those).

I've put a SPOILER tag here to spare you from brain damage, because I went full retard with speculation in it.

Unless we get a Triad (pun intended) Ten Thunder character with a three-way allegiance between TT - Arcanists - Outcasts. More dumb ideas are rolling since a Triad Ten Thunder has three T's in his/hers/its name maybe he/she/it will have a mr.T like haircut but different because of three T's.

I haven't counted the miniatures, but there should be a little bit more of never before seen models from each faction and a ton more of totally new Gremlins I guess.

Add 39 avatars and that is a lot of cards, more so if the generic cards will also be added to 2nd wave arsenal boxes.

  10. I agree with all of this, but the first point of this CRACKED ARTICLE of movie enjoyment is very interesting.

Spoilers just aren't very nice towards people who get worked up over their makebelive, but they never truly dissapoint.

I wouldn't go so far as calling them rude because most of the time people don't spoil stuff on purpose.

I bumped into a spoily topic a week and a half ago and it just got me pumped over reading the Twisted Fates more, so I must say this article is right on that point.

Maybe this thread could get a stickied or something?

  11. And chompy and pandora have a conversation where she asks him outright if he's a tyrant - to which she gets a cryptic answer.

I've always thought of him as a tyrant myself though, so interesting to have it confirmed.

And Chompy mentions The Box, naming it Pandemonium (and some other names) in relation to her mention of his and Dreamers relationship.

At the bottom of Pandoras box in Greek mythology there should be Hope, one of the greatest curses to reside in the box... and the madness and despair fits that well according to her powers and the images.jpg of it all. I still have to finish reading the Twisted Fates.

It's not a big spoiler. Besides, it's nice to have a finite number now, I was just counting them from the previous fluff and I was wondering when there will be a finite number of them, because it was getting a bit crowdy...

  12. Only the first one looks a bit sloppy, the rest are ok and it looks sloppy only in the first picture, not in third one.

The first one also looks the most characterful of the lot and looks cute drinking that water.

Green looks really good on them and I think the tone of color on the pigs even improved from the one on Ramis gun. I mean I like this version of green pigs.

The one lying down (last one before Lacroix) model looks like a fat dirty little pig full of mud, which is the impression I've got while painting it and I'll definitely go back to when finishing it up.

I've got all of these pigs, but mine've got some explosives strapped onto them.

I also tried implimenting spots on one of my pigs but it doesn't look too good, I'll have to fix that.

Lacroix's pig looks very mean for some reason... I don't remember how mine came out since I was planning to make a colorful poncho for the gremlin and forgot about the pig.

Odd that you like orange color and don't play Ten Thunders since that is their faction color. :-/
