Doofus McGinty

I'd have to agree with the general consensus on this one. I got my first Terraclips set the other day (awesome, as pretty much everyone agrees) and found it was fine. I've had a 10 year hiatus from gaming, but am still fairly confident up to about 24 inches. My wife on the other hand is a complete novice. Having the ability to kind of pre-measure evened things up a little. Someone pointed out elsewhere on the forums that the characters are pretty skilled with their various armaments, so I think they'd generally be better at estimating range than me as the player anyway!

Here's my first Malifaux figure - I haven't worked out what I'm doing with the base yet, but hey ho. She was very handy in my first game, so I thought she'd be a good place to start. Hope you like her!

Aloha, I'm a new London-based player so I thought I'd say hi! Tried my first game last night with my wife (also a new player) and thoroughly enjoyed it, though it took a mammoth 8 hours. I know we'll speed up as we get used to it... For the record my Seamus crew (Seamus, Sybelle, 2 Rotten Bellies and 2 Drowned) successfully destroyed the evidence, while Rasputina (with two Acolytes, an Ice Gamin and a Sabre Tooth Cerberus) failed to slaughter me! I haven't done much gaming for about 10 years, and then it was all Games Workshop stuff, so I apologise for how basic this question is (I had a look at the rules thread, but couldn't see it covered). Can you Charge if you're really obviously not going to end up in melee? In other words, can you use it just to move a bit further (albeit directly towards a target model)? And if you can, can you then use a second AP for something else - Ranged Attack/Casting etc? Cheers in advance for any help!
