I will be running an intro one shot Recruitment Drive at Game Empire Pasadena on Thursday 4/14 from 6:30-9:30. Message me if you want to join, there are a couple spots left!

My schedule has changed so the days and time have been updated!

Our first Malifaux campaign starts Sunday, November 1.

Use the rules from the Shifting Loyalties book to generate you crew. You will need access to those rules for these games, physically or digitally. We will use the following special rules: Visit the 'Doc and No Avatars. 

There will be no entry fee or prize support for this campaign. However, with the experience we gain from it, we will launch a second, longer campaign in February 2016 using the competative rules, with an entry fee and prizes. 

Each week will switch on Sundays for the four weeks of the campaign. Campaign events will be posted here on that day. 

Games may be played at any time during the week. Any number of campaign games may be played each week.

Post your rosters and RSVP on the Facebook event here and update them with all of the changes made during the league.

Hello Souther California Malifaux players! Local Henchman Victor here...

I will be at Game Empire in Pasadena, CA on Tuesday nights at 7:30 ready to run Malifaux demo games for you and your friends! Anyone who is interested can show up and learn to play. Now I do have friends and family that love me and want to spend time with me when I'm free (I think?) so if you want to let me know ahead of time that you're interested that would be helpful, but by no means necessary. Tuesday is our intro board game night, too, so there is plenty of fun to be had in addition to Malifaux!

Thursday nights are hobby night at the store, so you can come on by and get some of those crews painted-- with expert advise from staff and fellow gamers if you want to up your painting skills! 

There will be two opportunities to play in Through the Breach one-shots the first Saturday of May. Stay tuned for a new topic once sign up goes live.

I have some items for trade or sale. Chaos Space Marines and Tyranids aren't my jam, as it turns out, so I'm sticking with Necrons. Age of Sigmar gave me a chance to get into Fantasy easily, so I'm picking up some Skaven as well. Arena Rex and Wrath of Kings make some really impressive miniatures, but it's never going to be played or get support in my area. We just don't do Kickstarter mini games 'round these parts. Malifaux on the other hand is picking up steam, and I'd like to jump back into it with both feet. Most offers of Malifaux will be seriously considered, but plastics only please.

Hey everyone! I'm coming back from a long hiatus and would love to get the local crew going again. It's been a bit off and on through the years, fluctuating with whoever happens to be into Malifaux at the time. I know there are people around but who are you and where are  you?

 

Game Empire Pasadena has some great tables and terrain and all the amenities to play some games, so message me and let's play!

Fairly self explanatory. I have the old metal pigapult, assembled, primed black, with some paint on it. Base colors on the frame, pig, and gremlin skin. Easy to strip or keep painting. I can provide a picture for any interested party. Ideally I would like the plastic pigapult unassembled, but realistically I will take one that is in respectable condition. 

Please look at the photos for condition, most are great. Some hordes need arms reattached. Trades preferred, but I will definitely take your money if you want to make an offer. I'd like some plastic Malifaux gangs, figs, LEs, don't care much which. Assembled and painted is fine so long as they aren't broken and irreparable. No Ophelia box needed.

The Game Empire Malifaux Achievement League is back for the Spring!

Monday, April 8 to Sunday, May 5. This league will last 4 weeks, and each league week will run from Monday to Sunday.

Entry fee is $10, with prizes at the end based on attendance.

As always you will need to grab an achievements packet from the store and record all the achievements you earn in each game, then leave the sheets at the store. Ranking based on total points earned.

Look for weekly challenges to earn extra points! All tournament games count even if you opponents aren't in the league!

Sow death, reap glory! Join us at Game Empire Pasadena on Saturday, April 27 to make your name in the bloodied streets of Malifaux!

Each round will be 30 SS games, built from a 50 SS pool of models you must choose before the tournament!

That 50 SS list cannot be changed after the tournament starts and will be the only models available when hiring your 30 SS crews at the beginning of each round!

Masters are not limited, and to have Avatars you need only note a "2 SS Avatar" option once in your 50 SS pool.

Entry fee: $10, sign up at least fifteen minutes before Round 1.

Each round will be 1.5 hr.

Prizes:

Store credit to first place, amount based on attendance. More store credit will be given out by raffle to other tournament participants! Every round played gets you one raffle ticket, every win gets you a second. Playing a round with a fully painted crew nets you a third.

Registration: In Store at Game Empire. Registration fee is a $20 minimum purchase of Malifaux products.

League Start Date: Monday, October 22, 2012

League End Date: Sunday, December 16, 2012

League Crew Construction: Players must declare a faction at the start of the league and will purchase crews from within that faction for all league games according the rules for hiring crews on page 70 of the rules manual. All models used must be Malifaux miniatures.

League Specifics:

The Malifaux Achievement League is set-up to encourage Malifaux players to play regular games over the time period of the league (8 weeks) and accumulate achievement points during the league. Games and Achievements must be reported at the end of the game to the local henchman (Ben Ripple) or to the store. A tracking sheet will be kept at the store in order for games to be played at any time during the week. Prizes will be awarded in store credit based on the number of participants over the course of the league.

- Achievements all carry a separate value, and multiple achievements can be earned within the same game.

- Some achievements can be earned multiple times during the league, as noted on the scoring sheet.

- During a single game, a player may earn only one achievement from each category.

- Get your league pack from the store before a game. Have opponents initial next to your achievements in the game, then return it to the store for our record keeping.

All games begin with each player revealing their selected leader simultaneously, then each has the opportunity to build their crew as they wish. Players should agree on a Soulstone points level before these leaders are chosen.

Achievements are intentionally designed with the expectation that nobody will complete them all. The idea is to give people a variety of paths to “scoring” while also encouraging growth of our Malifaux community. To see all of the achievements available check out a league packet at the store!

You can play a week's games from Monday to Sunday, but Mondays will be set aside especially for Malifaux and will probably be the easiest time to find games!
