That was exactly it. Found it finally, read though combat and magic and couldn't find it mentioned anywhere. Haven't even seen that chart at all so many thanks for pointing it out.

Thanks a ton, thought I had it right but wanted to double check before playing. I have the standard Malifaux rule book (link) and couldn't find it.

Just want to make sure I have this right since I might be playing for the first time Saturday. A killed unit is one dealt enough damage to kill it. A sacrificed unit is a model sacrificed to an effect. Sacrificing a model is not the same as killing it. So sacrificing a stolen to abandoned soul will not trigger the voracious rats ability. I think I have that right but want to make sure. Also Nix has magic resistant 2. I can't find it in the rule book so could some one explain what that ability does?
