  1. For Holland, and probably major part of Europe then, these are the shipping costs:

    - Minimum shipping cost $10

    - Book: $22 shipping

    - Arsenal Pack: $3,30 shipping

    - Crew Box (non-Tara): $3,50 shipping

    - Tara Box: $4,20 shipping

    - Fate Deck: $2,20 shipping

Just add up all the shipping costs of the items you ordered, and that's the shipping. Remember min shipping cost $10.

Yeah, book is expensive, but on the other side the cost in Euro's for the base products is actually quite good. I don't mind paying more if I can get my book asap, and ofcourse the Miss models!

  2. I was wondering how you get the neutral cards, only in the faction deck? If that's so, why are the cards included with the miniatures?

If I start a new faction for M2E I need the arsenal pack for the generic upgrades. Then I buy boxes and get all the model cards double.

    Just a mind fart I had :)

  3. Pole-position for M2E league!

With M2E just around the corner, it’s time to get ‘lined up’, so to speak. The coming weeks we will be running a league for pole-position. We’re using the last version of the Beta rules.

    How does this work?

you will be stealing other peoples points by winning games from them. This will form a ranking. Winning isn’t for brags only, as it will determine the order in which assets will be chosen in the fullblown M2E campaign that’s coming when M2E products reach Holland.

    How long will it run?

Starting this Thursday, until M2E hits The Netherlands, about the 30th of august.

  4. I would expect something fiery/angely to be the inspiration. Maybe a little Tim the Sorcerer? ;)

There is an Anasalea Caroland; so being family with Nathan might have earned her her first name.

kaeris is a character from Zephiros Evoland, that seemingly has to do with fire.

  5. Been looking for a start to Warmachine/Hordes for over 2 years now. Just can't find the good faction/army. I want to play Warmachine heavy, without all that silly infantry (its not called Infantrymachine now, right?). But just can't find a good list for it.

Same with Hordes, it all ends up about spamming models from units. Sigh...

O well, will just save my moneys for even more Malifaux!

On a side note, ordered quite some Sarissa Precision buildings for my 'faux tables :) Think I will be running little tournaments at our local club and the winner may name one building. Gives me incentive to paint them as well.

  6. Nice write-ups, dgraz!

For the Razorspine Rattler I found there to be good Synergy with Marcus' The Law of Meat. Casting that on something in melee with the Rattler, means that it's almost a paralyze. An opponent can choose to do nothing (stay within melee range), or move out of it, almost impossible (and dangerous!) with the stacked effect of Wicked and Constriction.

  7. FIrst off, great mini's! Especially since they are your first!

I sadly don't own or play PuppetWars, but can give a few painting tips: first try to clear the moldlines. On your Nurse you can see a moldline running over the syringe. Clearing a moldline is easy: before painting just scratch along the line with a Stanley knife, and it will scrape right off!

Paining it practice. When you paint more, you get better! To achieve better blends of colours try to water your paint. The more you water your paints down, the more layers you need to cover, and thus you smooth the transition from one colour to the next. I try to water down my paints at least 1:1 (water:paint), and when you want a really smooth blend, like on flesh, I water it down even further.

Before I started watering down my paints, I simply did this: paint the thing the basic colours you want. Give the paints a wash (usually brown wash, unless it was metals, black, grey or white, then a black wash). When that's dry, reapply the basic colour on the higher portions of the model. Tadaa, basic table-top quality.

Good luck with painting the set, and finding other players to enjoy the game with! Hope my advice makes sense. Otherwise I can try to explain further, or maybe someone else more experienced can chime in!
