Sunday 10 september I am hosting 'Prepare to Fade'- a gameday and tournament.
You are welcome to join the tournament starting 10:00 for 3 games of malifaux using the GG17 rules.
Alternatively you can roll in any time after 10:00 for a casual pick-up game of 'faux.

I was wondering; with the new upgrades, did you change what you field when running Yan Lo?

IMO the new upgrades are really powerful, and I see no reason not to take them both. That leaves just one spot for another upgrade - either to summon ancestors or +chi on Df/Wp. In a game I played (mirror match Yan Lo, even) I got all upgrades on Yan Lo and 3 Chi spare top turn three, and jumping into a bunch of enemy models and hitting them all with the mouth laser on plusses to hit was brutal! Sadly his jump back with the same buffed Yan Lo was even more effective

As a long time Nico player I really love these changes. Sure it might make some masters/match-ups less favorable for us. But it changes the game in ways I think is for the best.

Ludvig has a nice motivation why it's more balanced, I will just +1 to that

Malifaux Gameday & Toernooi op 23 juli

Het is er weer tijd voor! Een speeldag voor Malifaux in Alphen aan den Rijn. Vanaf 10:00 zijn we in de Games Guild in Alphen aan den Rijn om dit prachtige spel te spelen.

Voor de liefhebbers wordt er ook een toernooi georganiseerd; kan je laten weten als je daar aan mee wilt doen?

Verdere info: Parkeren is gratis, en op wandelafstand van station Alphen aan den Rijn

Gameday

Je kan langskomen voor een casual potje 'faux. De winkel is geopend vanaf 10:00. Er zijn tafels en scenery beschikbaar. Een relaxte sfeer en mogelijkheden voor drankjes en versnaperingen. Poets je game op, probeer iets geks, praat lekker bij!

Toernooi 'When Titans fight'

Voor de liefhebbers kan je meedoen met het toernooi dat we draaien. Deelname hieraan kost € 5,-. Vanzelfsprekend is er een prijzenpool. Dit is een ideale aangelegenheid om drie potjes te spelen en een hoop van je crew te leren. De resultaten komen ook op onze Malifaux Rankings.

Het toernooi start 10:00 en loopt tot en met 17:00. We gebruiken hiervoor het Gaining Grounds 2017 (GG17) format. Deze is te vinden op de website van Wyrd. De crews zijn 50ss, fixed faction. Je crew geschilderd is niet verplicht, maar zou natuurlijk wel mooi zijn

Ivm tafels klaarzetten en andere voorbereiding hoor ik graag vooraf als je mee wilt doen aan het toernooi.

Ik organiseer een kleine league met als thema Frame for Fkking Murder. Idee is om verschillende potten tegen elkaar te spelen (ik maak match-ups). Wil met de league expliciet oefenen op de scheme Frame for Murder, dus die kan je sowieso verwachten ;)

Doorlooptijd van league is 3-6 weken. Heb je interesse? Laat dat dan weten!

Afaik the Sandeep list usually has two guys immune to conditions. This are usually his nasty beaters that will be in your face as fast as possible. I don't really understand how McM is a good counter to that. Sure, he ignores their armor, but they are immune to poison (is a condition). Am I missing something, or is McM still a good idea if you cant poison and nurse these threats?

I try to avoid taking FFM if possible, but then play as if I had taken it.

With half the games having FFM in it, it's just a matter of time before people learn to play around it. I think that's the saving grace of it moving to suits, as I really dislike the scheme. Kinda tired of seeing FFM Howard every other game.

The NL scene isnt big enough to do any sensical (is that a word?) analysis.

If you start with your necropunk, and use the ability to heal and lose htw, hayreddin makes a + flip for Yan Lo worth even more. With htk he makes two attacks on the punk for two chi. Afther that summon your choice with Toshiro from the 'punk's remains.

Fun idea to try Hayreddin/Yan Lo interaction this way. Saves cards to cheat with Yan Lo, and powers up hayreddin in the process. Keep them seperate after that, though.

second on the advice to take condition removal. He is so vulnerable to those nasty ones, and being able to heal fully with a nurse has come along a lot for me as well.

During this league you will be playing a crew, master or faction that is new to you or hasn't received much play yet. The league will be concluded on a gameday on 29th of january at the Games Guild in Alphen aan den Rijn.

Schildercompetitie: Op de gameday zal er ook een schildercompetitie zijn! Zet je voor deze league geschilderde crew neer, en verdien extra Guilders en PRIJZEN!

Got all my 50ss set this way, and am unsure what I could drop for that Yin you're mentioning. But I so see the value of TBtN!

Violating the Treaty (tournament & game-day)

Het is tijd om de afspraken die we gemaakt hebben overboord te gooien, en elkaar te bespelen met Malifaux! Komt allen lekker spelen in Alphen aan den Rijn (gratis parkeren en loopafstand van het station)!
Omdat er voor beiden smaken interesse is een combinatie: we hebben gewoon gameday vanaf 12:00. Dus je kan langskomen voor een (casual) potje 'faux. Voor de mensen die dat leuk vinden is er vanaf 10:00 een toernooi. Dan speel je nog steeds gezellige potten Malifaux, maar dan drie potten op de dag (vandaar dat we daarvoor wat eerder beginnen). Voor ieder wat wils!
Verder heeft Games Guild verschillende Malifaux sets en modellen op voorraad, dus grijp de kans om iets mee te nemen wat je nog zoekt.
