Me and Doctor Loxley made a new pod cast. Hobby Sofa. It’s mostly About Malifaux, but will have some general Hobby topics like painting advise. Anyway here’s Episode - 1 You’ll have to excuse my accent.

It would probably be a good idea to make this a new topic. But I’m not entirely sure in which section would you post new pod casts. Any ideas.

Generally pod casts are done by people are really passionate about what they do. It’s no surprise some of them were so attached to the original game.

Here’s Mei Feng. Still have no idea what these wooden planks are supposed to be, but who cares it’s a great sculpt. Even if it was really awkward to assemble.

If only they showed the digital sculpts. The wait would have been bearable.

Just finished Rail Golem. Notice I drilled holes in his rail, makes it more interesting. Need to start my Rail crew mow.

The part I'm looking most forward to is the 4 miniatures. Show us the digital sculpts already.

Here’s my first attempt at painting new plastic malifaux miniatures. Vanessa Treasure Hunter.
So what do I think of the new plastic ? It feels different.
I don’t know if this is a good example, but imagine playing a driving video game. And you unlocked a new car which is faster but has more sensitive handling. And this is how new plastics made me feel. In other words it has potential but will take some adjusting to. Overall I think I achieved a good result on Vanessa in the end.

My Bushido force won 1st place in fantasy unit category at Salute 2013.
And GCT studios are giving away every miniature used in this Diorama (unpainted and unassembled ) all you have to do is like and share the giveaway on their face book page. For a chance to win 8 miniatures.

Your skill is inspiring. Fantastic bases and painting on your miniatures. Do you seal/clear coat your miniatures to prevent chipping?
No I stopped using varnish years ago. It’s easy to ruin a model with varnish. And I very rarely play with them.

Finished Cassandra. Just need some mechanical doves and Colette’s gang is done.

Mannequins. One of them was miscast. Had to carve chunks of metal out of the dress. Pain in the…. Neck.

Just painted this Blessed of December. I used plastic zombie by Manic to make the frozen corpse.
-
Finished Colette du Bois. She’s standing on automated steam punk beer barrel. Does that make cense? Oh and neon sign behind her says Bar.

Just finished The Dreamer, Avatar of Imagination. I thought putting this portal like miniature on top of warped Victorian stairs would add to the composition. Notice a rag doll and a teddy bear are been blown away by the wind coming out of the portal. Scroll down to see unpainted version so you can see what was sculpted. I used milliput yellow grey.
Finally there’s a picture of unpainted blessed of December. The corpse she’s holing is taken from mantic zombie sprue.

Here’s Rasputina, Avatar of Famine. Took me a while this one. I cut one of the legs at the knee, and glued it back at an angle, to make the pose more dynamic. I also extended his other leg to make him look like his growing out of his scenic base. Like walking avalanche.

very nice, may i ask how you did the snow?
I slapped some milliput in the areas where snow was supposed to be. Made it a bit textured with a sculpting tool. Painted it white. Applied some very light washes blue and brown. Dry bushed it white. Applied some more washes and dry bushed it white again. And that’s how I did it.

Hey duck! I know you from the Bushido forums. Awesome conversion on Lelu. I look forward to more stuff from you, you have a lot of talent. You should post up some of your other stuff.........these folks appreciate nice work. I'm sure the tortoise and the kitsune would go over big here (I can't remember their names).
I don’t know. This is a Malifaux forum. If the moderators are ok with it I’ll do it. Is anyone else wants to see my Bushido miniatures here?

Got to give them credit people who switching to M2E are well organised.
Me and one other person will play both editions. Who could it be?
