Announcing the Femme Fatale painting contest, hosted at Top Cut Comics, 5600 N. Second St., Loves Park IL, 61103. This contest will showcase the beautiful and dangerous women of Malifaux. Rules for entry are pretty straight forward. Any single female model; any master, minion, or henchman, and any base size. Avatars and constructs need not apply. One entry per person, and entries need to be turned in at Top Cut Comics. Dead line for entry is March 16th, and voting will run until Mar 30th. Voting will be open to the public, and the model with the most votes at the end of the contest will be crowned the winner. The winner will receive a malifaux blister of choice. Introducing the Darkness Falls tournament, held at Top Cut comics, 5600 N. Second St. Loves Park IL, on Saturday, Feb. 23rd. This is the first installment in a series of four truly terrifying tournaments designed to test the mettle, might, and cunning of even the strongest masters in Malifaux. All of the tournaments will have a theme, and a set of befitting challenges. For Darkness Falls, we will see that there are a good many reasons to be afraid of the dark in Malifaux. The tournament itself will consist of three 35ss games, scored in gaining grounds domination. All Strategies are shared, and in keeping with the darkness theme, will be announced before the beginning of the tournament. Factions are locked, and schemes are unique. No proxies allowed. Games with have a 1 1/2 hour time limit, with half hour breaks in between. The store opens at 11am, and cards will flip at 1230pm. As the games progress, a number of special events or rules will come into play representing the coming darkness and the evils it may hide. Players will also have the option of spending ss on special items while hiring their crew to help them combat the encroaching darkness. The details of these are, shall we say, being kept in the dark for now. There will be prizes for the !st, 2nd, and 3rd ranking players. There will also be an optional buy in of $5 for additional prize support. Payout from the buy in will be in the form of gift cards for Top Cut comics. Strategies - 35ss Shared Recconoiter Shared Distract This weeks challenge: Complete a game without using any soulstones, win or lose.

A new winter league will be starting in the Loves Park/Rockford IL area. The league will run for five weeks total, with the first week starting on Jan. 12th and the last week on Feb. 9th. League rules: - Two scoring games per week. Every game after the first two is worth a maximum 1vp. You may not play the same person twice in a row for the scoring games. - No faction or scheme restrictions. - There will be a weekly challenge available each week. The challenges are optional, and each may only be attempted once per week on a scoring game. Completing a challenge will earn an extra 3vp for the week. - The current scores, as well as the strategies/challenges for the coming week, will be annonced here at the end of each week (friday night). - Scores should be submitted here whenever possible, although in-person and facebook are acceptable alternatives. Scores must also be submitted before the start of the new week. - League and open gaming can be found at Top Cut Comics (5600 N. Second St., Loves Park IL, 61111) every Saturday of the league except the 26th. - The winner will receive a small box or blister of their choice (sorry, no avatars or starter boxes). - Optional $5 buy-in for additional prize support. Just a quick question/clarification on the first encounter in regards to the brew components. When a model makes the (1) Interact action to collect a brew component, is a card flipped to determine the suit of the brew component?

with my kirai crew, all the spirits got the 'spooky ghost fog' treatment to their bases. basically its just cotton ball that ive ripped into little pieces and glued to their base with some white glue. pretty effective actually.
