I hope we don't have to wait all the way till gencon for roosters! 

We will be running a grow league starting Jan. 31st in Carbondale Il. at Castle Perilous Books and Games. League will be 5 weeks long and will start at 30ss adding 5 every week to end at 50ss. The regular meeting day will be Sunday, but as long as games are played in the store and are reported to myself of a staff member you can schedule games any time during the week. Fixed faction. This league is geared towards new players and building a bigger local player base, and as such there will be no painting requirements. As usual demos and open play is also available on Sundays 1200-1800 (6pm).

Just curious, is the fact that there are no gremlin models listed (including masters!) just a "gremlins aren't a real faction" joke?

spamming models like that, to me, seems to limit your options. it becomes a one trick pony as opposed to the utility a variety of models provides. 

i was thinking the same thing. (and yes orderlies are rare 2 also.) 

Something else worth noting, they are rare 2.

wretches also heal for 2 when they kill a model (i think its limited to enemy models, but not 100%) WD5. CG7. 

Ran demos all weekend. The only complaint I heard about the starter set was that the suits in the fate decks don't match the suits on the stat cards. For a starter set I can see that being a problem. (The suits on the fate decks are the same as on the retro decks). Not a single person was able to identify the crow on the fate deck was the same as the crow on the stat card.

WTS: 1 pancreas, slightly used. Genuine reason for sale (body attacks it and need $ for toys). Buyer must collect with own surgical team.

while selling body parts is illegal, you can be reimbursed for your time if you 'donate' your pancreas. (how the plasma places get around it)

that's the  . its the Mask suit. meaning that the mask is built into the action and you dont need to  flip one. 

I'm pretty stoked about getting the Trixie box. especially since it comes with Mah and the Little Lass. 

the bushwhackers seem neat though. I'll put them on the table and try them out before i decide if they're good or not. (as i try to do for all models). 

 

But i do not own Trixie and i do not Proxy either.

So you say... The number of games I had to kill 3 Viks to stop them...

 

It lead to a lot of player using the slingshot with Sword Vik, get Sword Vik killed, only to re-summon Sword Vik.  With the way Stones could work it was hard for anything but a Henchman or Master to put down masters at times.

yeah i still remember the 30+ duel totals you would have no way to defend against. 

Old Cranky is a significant peon. No effect on this rule set, but neat to know.

The tactical action on the monkeys should probably say other friendly flying monkeys. As it stands you can place 5" then place the other two monkeys within 3" THEN place the original again within 3"

It makes the charge worthless. If you are in charge range of an enemy model you can instead do this action, get into grab & drop range. Pick that enemy model up and place it between the two other monkeys and then place the original monkey to lock the model in a triangle. A couple more drops and that model is probably dead and you can move on to the next.

I'm going to try to get a game in with this rule set on Friday. The only consern I have after skimming the cards is that the costs of each model makes the box 52ss before any upgrades. So you can't play the full box.

That's what I said. Lenny is somewhere between "good" and "quite good." He's like a low-carb strawberry beer. We call it 'SheWolf.' it's okay . . . 

since there is still a lot of models yet to be released it's pretty much: If it's available in plastic it's worth picking up. 

Also, I noticed Lenny isnt in your list. The only ways to get him are the Somer box set, or find a second hand copy (either metal or plastic) somewhere. Lenny is pretty not bad.
