  1. Loving the blog dude. Gonna have to make me a ghettojug. Pure genius. RE: Glue. I use normal superglue gel but after putting the glue on both parts i put a tiny bit of blu-tak inbetween the pieces then put them together. Not only does the blu-tak hold the parts together a little while the glue sets, but the glue kind of dessicates the blu-tak into a sort of resin. Don't know how or why, but it seems to work. PS: Old blu-tak seems to work better. Full of paint and wallpaper and dust, etc. New stuff from a packet rather than found at the back of a drawer, that's still blue rather than grey, not so good. Go figure:)
  2. I made the bases myself by cutting discs out of a sheet of textured plasticard* and then gluing to normal bases. It was a bit of a pain to cut as the plastic is a bit brittle, i should have dug out the dremel. *WILLS Railway Scenics 00Scale Crazy Paving. Really happy with the way they painted up.
  3. Ta-da! 10 models from construction to varnish in about 10 hours. Quite happy with how they turned out.
  4. Hour 9. Done! I'll post a pic of the whole crew tomorrow when the light is better.
  5. Crazy busy week of work and a friend's wedding have slightly delayed painting. But back to it now. Hour 7.
  6. Cheers. The wash was GW Badab Black for everything apart from the trousers and skin. On those i used GW Devlan Mud. No idea what the names of these inks have changed to now in GWs new paint range. ---------- Post added at 02:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:00 PM ---------- Cheers guys. @DeafNala- I always wonder how well i could paint minis if i spent ages on each one. Then i look at the mountains of unpainted metal in my house and say "sod that, just get them finished!"
  7. Hour 4. And that'll do for today's painting.
  8. Hour 2. Decided to leave Ryle and the hounds till later and work on the uniformed lot first.
  9. Hour 1. Models assembled, based and undercoated black.
  10. Hi guys, finally getting around to painting my Guild. Thought i'd paint in 1 hour sessions to see how long they take. The crew contains: Lucius, Lawyer, Drill Sergeant, Ryle, Guildguard Captain, 3 Guildguard and 2 Guild Hounds.
