I alternate between white and black depending on what effect I'm going for. White if I want vibrant colors and black if i want more muted, dull colors. Also, i prime using an airbrush so weather conditions aren't a factor.

I also drilled the umbrella hole out a bit and that seems to have been sufficient.

What color wash would you intrepid painters use over yellow?

I haven't played a game yet, but I'm hoping to have my entire crew painted up before I take to the table...
