  1. I see most opinions seem to have been spoken already in this thread, so to not regurgitate too many of them I`ll just keep it short.

One thing seems to be on many peoples minds, Lady J`s pose.

They way I see it, she looks like she has moved from a standing (or jumped) down into a crouching pose and the momentum has carried her hair further. Both she and her hair and been moving sideways, from our left to right. It looks quite natural if you look at it this way.

    Wrong thread?

  2. Just finished assembling the Guild hounds and realized something: what's the easiest way to attach the compact hound to the base? ( For fellow greyhound owners, it's the one in the second suspension) The paws look too small to pin. I was thinking just making a mound of green stuff to press the feet into and then glue into that, disguising it as terrain.

  3. I bought additional 1.5" layers for my bag (too many models? Nooo....). I don't have a topper at all, but the bag closes snuggly. I haven't had any issues with this myself, though if you cared to you could slip a topper into the pouch under the Malifaux logo for extra protection.

So are you doing two 1.5 and a 2.5 tray then? Seems like the bag wouldn't close very well.

  4. Since no one else will, I'll be "that guy." Your poll if flawed. The questions and answers don't match. You're asking what sex an individual is, but your answers are listing various genders. It would either have to be "What is your sex: male/female" or "What is your gender: boy/lady."

Sorry to be a stick in the mud, but with a degree in Sociology and a specialization in gender studies, I always end up as "that guy."

  5. Mine's simple. I mix equal parts P3 Khador highlight and Bloodstone, and dab some on foam (usually a piece of pluck foam I pulled out). Then I dab the paint via foam onto the metal, and then dab a few times with unpainted foam to give it some texture. Dry brush edges with the original metallic (usually just points/edges that would have constant contact). Wash with armor wash.

  6. So I've decided my next Malifaux purchase/master/faction is going to be Lady Justice's starter box. Since it only tops out at 23SS, what are some good models to fill out the points that work well with LJ? One obviously being her totem, but other than that I have no Guild experience (playing as or against).

  7. So how is this going to work, suit-wise? Currently all the major factions are related to a suit (Guild is Rams, Arcanists is Tomes, etc). Outcasts is none/a mix of the four. So what's that leave this 6th faction? All of the above? None? Or the start of a second faction for every suit?

  8. So my understanding is, with the original three masters per faction, there was some form of rock-paper-scissors strategy. The guild had Perdita for Neverborn, Lady J for Res, and Criid for Arcanists.

What about everyone else? Do the Arcanists have a strong anti-Neverborn, or do the Resurrectionists have an anti-Guild master?

  9. Two quick questions about the cards:

    1) What's the difference between Rare 1 and Unique? For example, Ice Golem is Rare 1 but Snowstorm is Unique, but they both end up with the same result.

    2) What's the deal behind the colored attributes on the cards? It doesn't appear to be the highest attribute (LCB has both a 6 and a 5 colored, though they're both Ca) while others don't appear to have a colored attribute at all (ie Stitched Together). Does it have any meaning behind it?

  10. So the general consensus with the Dreamer is to take more than one Daydream (2 vs 3 might be another thread). So here's what I thought/was wondering. Is it worth it to have multiple Daydreams out at the same time?

I ask because if you're using a Daydream to control LCB, you can bury all but one at the beginning of the game. Use that one as normal. If/when it dies, use Change Into Nightmare to place the next Daydream, keeping within reach of the Dreamer/LCB. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I apologize if this is completely missing the point/already talked about. Just picked up my Dreamer crew today and got a chance to look at the cards.

  11. So I'm thinking of picking up the Dreamer box and a few other models to start Neverborn with. Currently play Arcanists with Rasputina, but want to have a few options.

So I want to pick up the Dreamer box, and a few other things, ending up with a 35ss group that looks like so:

    Dreamer/LCB (7ss cache)

    Daydream 2ss

    Alp 3ss

    Coppelius 9ss

    Stitched Together 5ss

    Stitched Together 5ss

    Teddy 9ss

Or is it better to start with more than one Daydream (relatedly, do Daydreams count for the starting SS per nightmare?)

I want to just get things I can use for awhile (such as daydreams and alps, where I can change around the numbers for different arrangements), I don't want to go all out. Thoughts/critiques welcome

  12. Just a rules clarification here:

When Rasputina successfully casts Biting Chill, it automatically triggers Overpower.

    A) Does that mean you cannot select Surge if you fail as a trigger for the spell, after the fact?

Or B) is Overpower a "freebie" that doesn't count towards triggers?

My understanding is A but I don't want to be missing out on free cards either.

    **Edit**

Obviously the title is supposed to read "overpower." Typos Happne

  13. hey man, welcome to malifaux. Well let me be the first to tell you the game isn't based off having a certain list.

Thanks. And I appreciate all the feedback, but I guess I was looking for some opinions/critique on how this list would work as it is. That is, because these are all the models I own at this point (minus one Ice Gamin).
