Thanks everyone! And some nice entries all around.

Cheers, Guardian and Morray.
@Guardian- well, they just look better with glowing eyes. They needed something like that, they looked dull without it. I considered giving the Flesh construct glowy eyes too, but I decided it could do without that. Who knows, perhaps I was wrong; in any case I'll test it on my next Flesh Construct. My Mindless Zombies and Canine Remains (when I get them) will also glow. But Dead Doxies, for instance, won't.
@Morray- when painting the glow, I first filled the eye-sockets with watered-down paint, the way one would apply a wash. When that was dry I added highlights and blended the edges a bit with the surrounding skin.

These are brilliant! I bet the Spawn Mother will be awesome.

@Demonn - Yes, indeed.
@UNDERDOG - Thanks! I didn't have the White Walkers in mind when I did the glow, though. I simply needed a patch of green somewhere on the mini as a spot colour, and I didn't want it to be on his clothing. This made my choices very limited.

The first Punk Zombie joins the crew:
I'm also working on a couple more Belles for Seamus to summon. The old metal ones are a bit bigger, but they don't clash too much with the plastics (especially if they have a matching colour scheme). I have one finished so far. That's her among the other girls:
And this lot is still in the early stages:

The Lego theme is very interesting. I Love the matching gaming accessories you've made.
I laso love your counts-as Nekima . Where is her sword from?

This is impressive! Also, it reminds me that I still have a load of lamps to paint.

Thanks, Marko! Good luck to you, too.

I had to drill into the hands (damaging them a bit in the process), then glue a pin into the hole and build the flute around it with green stuff (and fix the damaged fingers). It was all very fiddly, but I managed in the end.

Thanks! A similar thing happened to me - when i got him the pipe was terribly bent, and when I tried to make it straight it snapped off. Rebuilding the blasted thing was quite a task.

Well, it's been a while and the Punk Zombies are still waiting. :/ But I have something else to show:
This Hamelin avatar and the Taxidermist are my entries for the Wyrd painting competition over at Wamp forum. They both fall among my favourite Malifaux minis. The Taxidermist especially was a real joy to paint.

What does this mean, exactly? Are you sending entire boxes as a replacement, or just the single miniatures whose scale you have now adjusted?

I thought as much. Thanks guys!

I have a question about Sybelle's With a Flourish trigger she gets with the Bleeding Tongue upgrade. It makes the model she damaged discard either two cards or two Soulstones, or it dies immediately.
In my last game Sybelle got this trigger when damaging my Flesh Construct. I only had one card left in my hand, so discarding two cards was not an option. I wanted to discard two SS then, but my opponent said I couldn't do that because Flesh Construct can't use Soulstones.
My question is: does a model have to be normally able to use Soulstones to opt for discarding 2 SS in this situation? And in general, does a model have to be normally able to use SS to be able to discard SS?

Oh, just to make them look a bit less modern I guess.
-
Thanks!
Well... probably never. I use the puppet in her stead.
The next thing I'll be painting is a trio of Punk Zombies. They're assembled, their heads shaved, and they're waiting on my desk. I bought the Nicodem box in the Black Friday sale, and it's time to give it some attention.

Giant Viktoria of Ashes:
And since I gave up on Viktoria of Blood because of the scale problem, this means my Hired Swords crew is now done as well (Puppet Viktoria will stand for Vik of Blood). More pictures, as always, on the blog.

I'd update this sooner but am having trouble getting photos on here. Some of them are too big, with a message saying 'error: remote file is to large' when I try to insert the pictures from photobucket via 'From URL' from 'Insert Image'.
Can anyone help me?
In the 'From URL' tab, under the space where you paste the link to your picture there's a tiny box next to which it says: 'Retrieve remote file and reference locally'.
That box is automatically ticked, and it makes the forum copy the whole photo from the URL and save it here, instead of just using the picture from photobucket. You just need to untick the box before clicling 'OK' and everything will work properly.
