Control Deck vs Playing Card Deck - Combining the Two

Are the backs of the cards supposed to be different colors? Or did I get a deck with misprinted backs? -

The coloration on the back of my retro-deck is inconsistent. Some of them are more black, some are more brown and some have an almost reddish tint. Other than that I have no issues.

I got my retro-style Malifaux deck today and the backs don't have consistent coloration. Is this intentional or a misprint?
