+100 to the shopping basket idea, it encourages impulse buying, facilitates the flow of $$$$, and last but not least makes it a little easier to get everything you need on that first time through the line. Ok that last point may not always be true as we all seem to be drawn back multiple times due the aura of awesomeness (+5 awesome condition which cannot be removed or reduced)

Yeah who knows, it really not anything to worry about.  I do know of at least 1 game system that did let people know a couple of weeks ago that they submitted for a couple events and what they were, so I thought to start this thread back then.  But like I said, GenCon is releasing event schedule tomorrow night at 9 so we can find out then.

Yeah I figured as much on that thread being around but just thought whoever submitted events might know what was in the works even if they didn't have specific days/times.  No worries as I guess we will find out tomorrow night at 9pm EST.

Since we are a little less than a month out from Gen Con event registration, has there been any word on Malifaux events going on in the gaming hall?  I know what has been done in the past but figure it never hurts to see what is in the works.

Wyrd as a company exists because of metal miniatures. There really is no denying this. For years it has made up most if not all of the models that they have made. They succeeded because people liked the models.

I thought Wyrd succeeded because the game was good? Yes the models are cool and all but I would never have bought any models if the game wasn't and continued to be engaging and fun.

Now, they want to stop making what people like for questionable reasons. What is more, if someone speaks out in support of continuing metals they are met with hostility, told too bad so sad, basically told to shut up about it. As we have seen, we even have a moderator try to shut down discussions about metals, even if they are related to the thread. That simply isn't right.

Odd, i didn't really get that from Mako's post, but I guess the real question is what do you hope to accomplish given the decision has been made? The plastic vs metal debate has been going on for years and will continue to do so, however once a company has made a decision to move to a different medium there really isn't anything you as the player can do about it. It's not hostility, just a fact.

Lastly, wasn't this a thread about release schedules?

After seeing the minis at Adepticon, if they keep it to scale the MAC II should be roughly the size of the GW Forgefiend/Maulerfiend. maybe a little smaller but not by much. Also I talked to the guy at the booth and he did say that the power armor models are coming. With 27 days to go I think they will have them up as a stretch goal soon. while I like those I am waiting for the super and armored versions of the veritechs!

Hard but brittle seems scary to me... But what you say about Wall of Steel and Claim Jump sounds very fun. If you still have it, can you bring your Yan Lo proxy stuff on Thursday? I'd love to finally play against it after not even getting a chance to watch it at the tourney. I can play whichever rezzer you want or any guild my son does not choose, if there was something in particular you wanted to play against to test.

Sounds good, I planned on bringing Yan out again, we'll see how he does this week. The Wall of Steel action is pretty nice for board control.

I would agree with Razhem on the Ashigaru. Personally I think a good mix of the 2 from the start is a good idea but if I did any summoning I would likely bring in only the Punks. But again this would depend on the strat/scheme. (ie. Wall of Steel and Claim Jump can be very nice.)
