  1. maybe I will have to splurge on decent paints then. I have my crew primed, and tried a little painting with the adikolor paints but they are very hard to deal with since they are so old.
  2. My friend started painting his crew with Testors paint. he says they look good. has anyone tried these? Citadel paints get expensive really fast so I'm trying to find a cheaper alternative. What's the difference between acrylic and enamel paints? Can any recommend any other cheaper brands of paints that will work decent for malifaux? we bought 12 older adikolor paints from a LGS for 50 cents a piece and they wont mix... I'd rather not order offline if I don't have to, is there anything at Michael's, Hobby Lobby, or Walmart that I could try out?
  3. I like the Brown/tan coat, and the olive pants on that one I posted.
  4. Yes, I see what you both are saying. I will try painting the belles first. But I'm going to take my time and do my best. if they don't turn out how I want, I'll just try to play a game or two and give the painting another try later on! It's all for fun. I got my Seamus set today too. gonna go to a local gaming shop this weekend and get some paints, and maybe play a test game haha.
  5. Cool! I play at Jupiter Games quite regularly. Should be a bunch of people there from 12 till 5ish so feel free to drop by (www.jupitergamesonline.net in case you don't know where they are).

  6. Hey man I just added you because I live in Binghamton and I looking to get into Malifaux, just ordered a Seamus Crew waiting for it to come in.

  7. Yeah I've been looking around alot, I feel like I'm going to be an expert on painting before my crew even gets here, because I've been reading so much.... haha. This thread has cleared up a lot of questions though. I feel like I know the supplies I'll need and how to make my models look decent. I'm a little disappointed they don't come with base inserts, but that leaves more room for creativity I guess. It just means I gotta spend some more money though haha. I saw that Seamus' bag is not attached to him, I kind of want to try to pin it onto him. I think this is the coolest Seamus I've seen.
  8. I don't have the rules manual but it is a free pdf on the website! haha
  9. I just hope my crew turns out decent haha
  10. Wow this is going to get expensive I can tell! I ordered my seamus crew, should be here next week, but I still gotta buy a fate deck. Now I want paints, brushes, green stuff, a miniatures drill, metal snips, a hobby knife, and a model file. Holy cow. I'm so excited to get started, but not for spending all this money... haha. My friend ordered a Ramos crew too and he's excited too.
  11. Those look nice and they're cheap too! too bad they're out of stock
  12. so do you have to make your own base inserts?
  13. Thanks for all the tips, so if I mess up you recommend just priming over the entire figure again and starting over? or am I misunderstanding? won't the paint layers pile up too much? Also I think I just realized everyone's Seamus bases are different. Does the box not include base inserts? will I have to make my own?
  14. How does one wash a figure? do you paint it with the wash selectively, or dip it into wash?
