I'd rather have Wyrd delay releases as long as the quality of the sculpts are awesome.. that being said, too long of a delay may diminish interest... hello? aHoffman?

Cool, I started with Lady J... now I have almost every guild model and just got Levi, Viks and Von Schill. I'm still waiting for my Misaki box.

Collector much? lol

hmm.. for beginners I would have picked different crews (Lady J, Seamus/Nicodem comes to mind).

That being said, I think the Viks would be fine to learn the game. I'm not sure for the Lilith crew cuz you need to get more models for your tots/nephilim...

Oh yeah, the Drill Sergeant totem. Yup, Cordon can be a useful "You shall not pass!!!" spell to cover your deployment zone or objective. I remember setting up a choke point where enemy models can only go through an alley where Ryle was waiting to make it rain bullets because I cordon-ed the other routes to my enemy's objective.

Also remember that Lucius can reactivate if he sacrifices a friendly Guild guardsman model (pls verify). So in a key turn/situation, just sacrifice a hound or the totem and have Lucius Hidden Snipe or melee attack a key target.

Get the Lucius box, 1 blister of the Guild Guards (2 models each), 1-2 blisters of the Guild Hounds (2 dogs each blister), 1-2 Guild Austringers and the Warden (Guild Guard).

Now when the Guild Rifleman comes out, I'm sure Lucius would be a a viable Master for a crew.

I tend to use the Reinforcements spell and Hidden Sniper.

He's hard to hit and his slow to die action can be use soulstone to heal.

Plus, I like his model.

I'm getting the book tomorrow from my FLGS (if they get the delivery early enough) and I'll most likely buy the Strongarm Suit the reviews from Malifools and other podcasts convinced me to do so.

As for posting stats and all, it is the company's prerogative to not release full stats. Infinity the Game practically gave away the stats and the only reason to get the books is the fluff. Our group ended up proxying most of the models but yet I bought some models cuz they looked cool. The only problem I have with Infinity is that they take forever to release models. Another example is Warma/Hordes. With the new War Room app, I just bought $60 to have all the stat cards I want from all factions. Can I proxy the models? yes. But I prefer having the cards and if the sculpts are cool, I'll get the models.

I was actually surprised to see some almost complete stats here and Wyrd has been kind enough give fair warning. Although, once the book is out for the general public, the stat posting and requests should die down...

This list and your original list seem legit.

My suggestions:

With Lady J, you would want at least one Death Marshall Minion (Judge, Death Marshalls, etc). You would also want a ranged minion to cover Lady J just in case you opponent decides/manages to avoid Lady J's melee range of death (Guild Austringer, Nino, etc). While the rest of your crew would be based on your opponent's faction, Strategies and Schemes.

Popular Bodyguard Scheme crews would include the Guardian and possibly Sidir because these minions would protect Lady J.

I have ran Lady J with Lucius and used the Lady J slingshot to bring her within charging distance of the enemy.

I just got Von Schill so I don't know if there any synergies with Justice.

My group currently plays Arcanists and Ressers. I played with the Resser more and my general list against him is this:

Executioner 7 ss

Exorcist 6 ss

Nino 7 ss

I take the Exorcist if my opponent is running Kirai and her spirits (he gives Magical). I take the Executioner because of Loves the Job and he can clear out corpse tokens. Nino is for ranged support and possible objective protector/denier.

I'll switch out the Exorcist for 2 Guild Hounds if any of my schemes need speed (and no spirits) and would switch out the Executioner with the Guardian.

If I'll drop Lucius, my list would look like this:

Death Marshall 4ss

Death Marshall 4ss

Guardian 7ss

Nino 7ss

Ryle 8ss

Witchling Stalker 4 ss

I'm still waiting for my Misaki box and other Ten Thunders related models.

For now I have the Levi, Vik and Von Schill crews to keep me busy.... oh boy I am really going to be busy...

It's been a while since I've sat at the painting table. I've been waiting like everyone else for their GenCon orders. Well I received mine last week sometime and I finally got to basing, cleaning and priming my new Neverborn models.

Ok I'll get it out, I didn't like the look of the Dark Debts mini's on the sprue. I didn't even like them assembled and based. It was not until I primed the first mini that I came around. I really like these mini's they look great with some Primer on them. I'm not sure why they looked so bland "nakkid" but I've come around I tell ya. Once primed I was ready to paint.

I like the Lawyer.. a bit pricey but great for buffing/debuffing... plus, it a bit hard to hit/kill

I've compiled a list of a couple of malifaux webpages that i use when playing here.

I've developed this with a mate, and it's as optimized for phone screen as we could make it, and we're planning on adding some more stuff.

It works for both iPhone and android as it's just normal webpages.

again, if WYRD is actually thinking of making an app, please learn from PP's War Room issues/mistakes.

if Wyrd is thinking about doing an iOS/Android app, please learn from PP's War Room issues.

That being said, please make one that has all the model cards, rules and crew creator. It doesn't have to record damage. Just keep it simple.

You guys can also listen to the latest episode of Malifools... they discussed the Ten Thunders box. They discussed the Guild and Neverborn in the episode before this one.

Next episode would be Rezzers and Arcanists Ten Thunders and new models...

Nathan said just a few hours ago that they do not have the Thunder box, so I doubt it is in with your order - I doubt they have changed the receipt to show that the Thunder box isn't in the order, because it will still be sent on afterwards.

I don't think they put Mis Terious on the receipts, she is just included in orders over $100...

bummer (@misaki box not included)... Well, I guess I'll have Yamaziko and Miss Terious to keep me busy then.. LOL

Ok, update.

My friend called Wyrd and they said they emailed him because Yamaziko was back ordered and now they have her back in stock so they shipped it along with my Asian Zen Bases 30 mm/40 mm and my friend's book. It also seems like the order shipped included the Ten Thunders in the same shipment. However, what's glaringly missing is the Miss Terious mini since the order was definitely over $100. Maybe they didn't include it in the receipt but it was included in the shipping box?

anyway, I hope that the box included the Ten Thunders box, as much as I want to receive a Malifaux tape measure, I'd rather have Misaki in my hands (to paint) instead. Now if the goodie giveaway is a Rail Golem (heck, I'll take an extra Book 4), please take your time Wyrd.. LOL

We ordered online during Gen-Con.

Now I just saw Nathan's post about the Misaki box. It could be that my friend forgot which one was delayed. I emailed him to verify.. I sure hope that it was the Misaki box only otherwise, I'll just receive the Asian Zen bases, Miss Terious and that's it.. as much as it would suck to wait for Misaki and Yamaziko, I'd rather have WYRD delay stuff to make it right.

Besides, Nathan said they'll drop in some goodies for the delayed Misaki... I wonder what it could be?

Ive got archers and yamaziko. Yamaziko was well detailed and easily assembled. I just started assembling the archers. Dynamic poses but the heads are proving fiddly to assemble.

lucky, my friend got an email from WYRD informing him (and me) that my Yamaziko is back ordered. boo!

Oh well, I still have my Von Schill, LEvi and Viks crew to build and paint.. so no real rush...

I'm thinking of someone younger... but my list of asian actresses who can kick butt has not been updated since 2005.

I was playing Infinity and Warmachine.. then our group stopped playing Infinity (one of us "broke" the game) and concentrated on warmahordes.

Then we started seeing people playing Malifaux in our FLGS. The models caught my eye and having a small skirmish game appealed to our group. So we looked into the book (book 1) and the website and fell in love with Lady Justice... and since then my small Death Marshalls crew box grew into most of the Guild, a Ten Thunders box on the way and just received my Levi crew.

Safe to say I'm hooked. Plus, the small army size forces me to paint models I put on the table.
