  1. I see. So the "good fluff" is still only found in the Core Rulebook, which is worth attempting to track down a copy for a reasonable price. And both expansion books have new fluff that's just as good and just as worth it. However, if all I want to do is play the game (which lacks something if you don't have good fluff to get you into it in the first place -- a popular opinion that I share) then the Rules Manual and an eye to these boards for updates is good enough. And finally, while the Rules Manual incorporates the rules for Twisted Fates and Power Rising, it's still useful to get those books to understand how the new models perform in play. Have I got that right?
  2. Thank you both for your quick replies! One more question: Has there been any hint or hearsay as to when/if a second edition of the rulebook will be printed?
  3. I've recently picked up the Rules Manual, and was wondering if there was any reason to go back and try to find the original Core Rulebook. Obviously I've got the latest rules, but has the fluff been proliferated to the website and/or Chronicles downloads, or is that still unique to the Rulebook? Also, the Manual seems to incorporate Rising Powers and Twisting Fates, so is there any reason to pick up these books, other than fluff?
  4. Any new word on a Malifaux RPG, official or homebrew?
