Well, Micro Arts has Chaos Bases that you could paint up to be all lava-y. (I used these on my Fire Gamin, and painted them up to glow from the inside.)
Black Cat has Volcanic Earth inserts.
I didn't really see anything on Dragon Forge, but you can look.
Thanks.

I don't know what you guys are whining about... Poor Ramos couldn't just glue them, he had to build em so that they could kill people.
These things can kill, Frustration = Stress = Blood Pressure = Aneurism = Death. Go Ramos killing people with his arachnids that are in a completely different reality. Ramos the new definition of indiscriminate random slaughter of innocents. A headline for the Malifaux Record.

Almost an answer!
But a great idea!
Anybody got a steam-powered tablet - got to keep it true to the game.
Damn new fangled steam! What's wrong with the old clockwork tablets we had as kids?

My old Ramos crew's on the Power Plant Bases from Micro Art Studio. IMHO spiders look great climbing over them.
I've also been looking online at these from PK-Pro, they look sweet.
Link to the black cat bases dsmiles mentioned above.
Thanks mythicFOX and you too dsmiles. Now I just need to decide which to get. Speaking of witch to get, do you know anyone who does lava bases? I was contemplating that for my Criid crew.

Invite is sent and also there is at least one person on there from the Blue Mountains as well
Good to hear about the fellow Mountaineer but I checked my mail and I didn't find an invite. Or should I be looking elsewhere?

We've set up a Sydney Google Group which I can add you too if you like.
I know the next main tournament is Cancon and from there I think there's going to be one in Sylvania and one in Sydney but there's still organisation for those to go...
On another note I'm going to start converting my Lucius for this crew soon as I have all the parts now.
Being on the group would be good thanks. I'm not sure how often I would be able to make it down being a Blue Mountains resident and not driving. But I will come when I can and if you have a specific event you want photos of I will do my damnedest. CanCon is unfortunately out for me this year.

I'm over 50 and have to use "old man reading glasses" to paint, read or see anything clear really close so I'm all for anything that involves bigger fonts
+1
No stuff that!!

A quick question for the Malifaux boffins, there are bases shown in the pictures on the Ramos crew box that I have not seen in the shop, are they available for sale or were they scratch built jobs?

I also use paper clips when I can. They work well, but are large so I only use them on big joins. I'm still using brass rod on small stuff like wrists and horns and such.
Another option is high key piano wire, you would need either great or expendable cutters to clip it to fit but it works great.

Thanks for the offer Rannith!
Any chance your interesting in going to the Tournament I'm going to be running at Blacktown next weekend for Malifaux?
Darn it, I would have loved to go. I just read this message too late.
Please let me know if you have further tourneys or just friendly games that you want a photographer for or even just an audience. I went mad buying Malifaux but I still haven't seen a game played let alone played one yet.
Drop me a message here or on my yahoo address ranatlava@yahoo.com.au with Malifauhx in the subject.

The mercs will die on their own (they take wounds each turn, and their abilites kill them) so why not do something useful with them?
Hi TheOne,
Thanks for this I will definitely look into those. There is something that confuses me though. I am reading through the Desperate Merc Entry in the Rising Powers book and I can't see anything to indicate they lose a wound every Turn automatically. They do go POP! in the third Turn Start Closing Phase but nothing says they "bleed out" up to that point.

haha nice effort, reminds me of when i got into malifaux.
u mentioned u want any suggetions for models to fill in the gaps
maybe some guild hounds for some objective grabbing, and to fill out a lucius list if u decide to run one (im enjoying lucius atm)
and maybe some fire gamins (arcanist model that can be used with sonnia [spreads burning tokens which avatar sonnia likes ] ), and Sue (mercenary, same deal with the burning tokens)
I hope u enjoy the game, i'm loving it (im at 16 masters and all henchmen(yes.. i have a problem )
Hi Nezzy,
Thank you for the suggestions. I did look at the Guild Hounds but they seem a bit pricy at 8 points for what they can do. As for the Gamins and the boy named Sue I will definitely have a look into them.
I am now up to 8 masters, the five Guild ones and Ramos, Collette and Rasputina with an eye towards Kaeris.
I don't understand what you mean by problem though. I see no problem.

Is 6 SS enough for non-avatar Sonnia Criid in a 30 SS scrap? I was thinking of running the following and was wondering if the remaining 6 SS would be sufficient.
Sonnia Criid (Walking Artillery)
Sam Hopkins (For Flaming Bullet fun times)
5 Witchling Stalkers (Recycling is good for the environment)
6 SS Pool
Or am I just mad?

more volumesk (is that a word?)
I think the word you need is VOLUMINOUS. And yes that one is a real word.
-
Neat combination of narrative and traditional style for a battle report. Something about Perdita freezing and shattering left me cold though. It seems so sudden an end for someone larger than life.
Perdita freezing left you cold? I'm all in favor of plays on words but that was too PUNnishing!

No, a new set of rules and a new model like Hamlin and like Hamlin you can still use the old model and rules
Oh so it is just a money gouging ploy not a game changing annoyance. That's OK then.
-
Just like Hamlin and sort of the Avatars for the masters, he will a new model for the henchmen with a new set of rules
Which would most likely remove all the good things about him that you love.

:-O :-O :-O :-O
Oh my, I never even thought of that

I have a couple of pin vices and they are all about the size of the GW (boo hiss) ones although only one of them actually is that brand. and they all have trouble with the fine drills I use.
-
Oh ok,
I've found that that would be a bit large for most of the joints I've been trying to pin. I also don't have a 0.5mm chuck for my dremel.
-
BTW the drill bits I have been using that keep breaking are 0.0146mm
-
I've been having trouble finding a finger drill/pin vice that will hold a fine enough bit straight. they don't seem to be engineered suficiently precisely. Does anyone know a web supplier of fine grade precision and tools?
