Von Schill is actually great to have alongside the AViks, since he can cover so much of the board in a single turn, he's good for being a delivery system.

The Viks are best served carefully hiding out of line of sight of your enemies, preferably in buildings, making mad dashes, and generally avoiding being seen until it's too late. You can use Sisters in Spirit while hiding in a building to attack people on the other side of walls or on higher floors.

I generally don't even use ronin, opting for more elite units.

I'm aware, but that's how I view it, at 10SS he either needs a large control area, to hit really hard, or both to be worth bringing. Naturally, this is in addition to any other tricks he has.

He's versatile, but he's not versatile at range, and he hits like a wet noodle. The biggest problem is that most of his utility simply isn't quite as good as simply killing the models in question. Now he'd be a lot better if he could do all that stuff from even 8", then he'd be a model truly worth taking.
