Looking good, the flowers on Kirai are cool.

Nice. Really like the little freehand flowers. How long did it take start to finish?
Thanks, not really sure but I've been doing it on and off since I last played Yan Lo on the last Thursday I played him. How long is that? You should start your own thread here, you've got some ace stuff. You were quick replying!
Need an idea on how to break up Yan Lo's cloak and ideas?

Hair turned out really awesome, very cool.

Ok I'm moving on to Yan Lo.... starting with Chiaki. Not finished yet so any suggestions on improvements would be cool.

Very good. It looks like you use an airbrush, what sort of techniques do you use with that?

Wow some really cool stuff there. Mind writing up a tutorial for us on patterned materials pleaseeeee?

This came up in a game today and we weren't exactly sure what happens.
Chiaki The Niece gained the condition paralyzed.
Paralyzed was gained before her activation started. Her card states under abilities "Innocence: When this model activates , it may move all Conditions from itself to a friendly Ancestor within 6" and LOS"
Page 62 small rulebook states "Paralyzed: A model with the paralyzed condition generates no AP and can declare no actions during it's activation...." so a paralyzed model can activate.
**The question is when Chiaki activates can she move paralyzed off herself onto a legal target ancestor?
Small rulebook page 33 states "... the activation follows these steps in order:
1) Resolve "activation" effects
2) Generate AP
3) Take actions
4) End Activation"
Is Chiaki's innocence ability an "activation" effect and therefore when she activates when paralyzed can she move paralyze from her to a legal target at step 1 of activation and then start step 2 of activation without paralyze and therefore generate AP as normal? Or not? I'm not sure.
Any ideas?

I bought his crew box because it looked good, and the Ashigaru looked really cool. Already thinking of a paint scheme for him, but it will probably be months before the crew is done. I run an ancestors list mainly with Yan Lo, Soul Porter, Chiaki, Toshiro and Izamu with the remaining points in ashigaru (because they look great more than anything) and maybe a canine remains depending on points left.
I go straight to Yan Lo when certain schemes show up. I like to take him when turf war and protect territory are options as the crew seems great at moving up to the centre, spreading out a bit and holding ground. Ashigaru are fairly tough to shift for their points and Toshiro can sit behind and buff them in close combat, summoning extra Ashigaru as well. Yan Lo and Chiaki heal / remove conditions and it's quite demoralizing to an opponent when Izamu dies and is then resurrected again and then is healed and has slow removed by Chiaki. Once Yan Lo is tooled up with the ascendant upgrades he's hard to get rid of and I use him to lighting dance enemy models to wherever I need. I can see why some schemes and strategies might not be suited to him but when the right ones come up I really like playing him.

Oooh nice greens!

HA HA. Love killing these models every Thursday. Must say they do look good in real life too!
Ha! You wait until get Yan Lo and his skellingtons after you!
Just seeing this thread for the first time, there's a lot of cool stuff in here! I like how your greens turned out, it's a colour I often struggle with.
Cheers! I'm getting a bit sick of it now.... the later models haven't turned out as well but a change in crew and colour should help motivate me hopefully!

Austringers and a Pathfinder give me a few more options for the 'Dita crew.
I'll be starting on Yan Lo next, I'm looking forward to painting different colours!!!

Looking ace - like the detachable spiders!

He's cool. I've got him to paint as well, no idea what I'll do though.
-
I've got this crew, they are cool. I'm liking your paint job too.
-
Well, extremely slow but the peackeeper is done....

Cheers! Next on the list is the Peacekeeper. Need a good free evening / day to get stuck into that. Once that is done I'll have a 50ss painted crew...
-
Plus, I am yet to field a fully painted crew! :-D
Ah, well at least I'm not alone! haha

Nice, I like the blue and impressive work on her eyes.

Firestorm Games in Cardiff has a lot of Malifaux stock (last time I was there, although a fair while ago I don't think anything has changed) and seems to have a fair few players too. I play in Swansea, and we are just starting off here. A henchman from Cardiff was kind enough to come over and give us a demo. I think you'll find a fair few players in Cardiff, probably Firestorm is a great place to start to get some games in.

Nice looking crew, the colours make them look like it's night time.

Hehe, pink. Actually it's a good looking choice of colours.
