  1. No its not. If the model is under the control of the master then it is still the masters hand that is pulling the strings.

However, however, however. Say you have model A and model B, model A has wicked and is standing in melee range of model B. Your opponent targets model B with Obey and has it perform a walk action. Because model B is considered the enemy while obey is in effect this triggers model A's wicked which kills model B and that is how you use obey to get Grudge.

  2. Well if the moderators are happy to change it then so be it. But really you should carefully consider the name you want to be known by because most registrations will be linked with the email address provided and if you don't want the name, but can't change it then you can't use that email in conjunction with registering a new name.

  3. Scenario: a model climbs a 2" wall that is at best 1/2" wide at the top and then opts to jump down for free.

Question: when the model is placed at the base of the wall is the lateral movement required to clear the wall included as movement?

This is for a model with 5" movement so if the movement is included the model has moved 5" climbing and crossing the wall to jump down. If not then the model has 1" of movement left correct?

If the model only had 4" movement would its move end at the top of the wall or would it get a free 1" move from jumping down?

You could try that and summon any doves you need on the way. It is a difficult decision as Johan is a heavy hitter in a crew full of medium attacks, but I also love the movement shenanigans between Cassandra and the Coryphee. In fact I would almost say theat Cassandra is a +1 with the Coryphee and if you leave one at home you should leave the other and maybe consider this build-

In this build Colette isn't so fast down the board but if you spread your showgirls to the side she will have great lateral movement and you might sucker your opponent in to try and take the Performer or Oiran only to find Colette up in his grill.

  5. I think against grow lists you have to be prepared to just go in there and kick ass and take names. That or just concentrate on completing all your schemes and maybe even the strategy while he is still growing the Nephlim.

I think Colette is fine to take on a grow list as she has the speed to get in there and can potentially mannequin any mature nephlim. Just remember to take Johan so that when the mannequin swap fails you can unbury it next to Johan for him to flurry on.

You could even use Disappearing Act to pull apart the grow cluster by removing a key component to the opposite side of the board.

  6. I really like what you have done with Misaki, I really don't like her "looking for contact style" and turning that pose on its side makes it so much better.

I don't like the dice on Lynch though You should have used smaller ones or maybe not at all. Also you need to add a stroke of flesh under his eyes so he doesn't look so surprised.

  7. I think it would work better if you couldn't tool up your crew as you choose. Instead of requisition you could say its the black market. Draw the artifact cards and then form another deck have 52 items associated with each value and suit with the Black Joker equaling Ripped off! - lose a random barter card and Red Joker equaling Bargain! -draw again and get half off the script and Barter card rounding down. The number of cards you get to draw from the black market equals the number of crew that survived until the end of the game.

  8. So my group gave the campaign rules a whirl yesterday and already the system is looking kind of rickety.

    1. It might be a 1 in 52 chance but if your Master is injured and then flips the Red Joker then that crew is done. Because no one will want to play that crew.

    2. If you are going to run the campaign it has to be in a relatively large group or else the gameplay will get pretty stale. Scratch that. Playing the same crew over and over again is something I find less than exciting.

    3. The "finish off" move must not be cheatable as this will just upset some people and encourage retaliatory reciprocation.

    4. If your crew has only 4 models due to injury you could run one model forward to take an artifact, maybe even two, sacrifice/kill another and then declare your withdrawing at the start of the next turn. Possibly preventing your opponent from getting any extra artifacts if they aren't expecting this. Essentially gaming the system if you have been saving guild script.

After two games my crew had a Ronin with Black blood and flight from the deal with the Devil and -2 wp and the Convict Gunslinger with Moonshine (reckless) and ranged expert. Overpowered much?

What has been your experience with the campaign so far?
