    I was thinking about Christianity and Malifaux a little while back. The Bible is pretty clearly against witchcraft and necromancy, and I believe there's an argument on whether Christ's salvation would extend off Earth and into Malifaux (my bro and I got into a discussion about that in regards to Christianity and Star Trek, but that's for another day). Also, the Christian revivalism in the US didn't start until the early 20s so it's unlikely anyone but Catholics would send someone into Malifaux.

    Not that that would discount a priestly character, it's just something to think about.

    Just stumbled across this post as I was wondering if there was any more new info on the League. Just to let you know, I never received an email about the new website. Checked my spam folder and everything. Nothing. The last email I got from ya was on Sept. 19. Also, I did want to try and get a little clarification like what SoulG asked. Are we to just contact the other players in our League and set up our own games and opponents? Also, in this fortnight, are we only to play against one opponent for one game?

    I'll be resending emails today but thought I'd post this here as well for clarity:

    6 players in each league so each person has 5 fixtures.

    These are spread out over 10 weeks so that you play one game a fortnight.

    I've already drawn the fixtures of who will be playing who what round so you can either find your league on the website to see them, or wait to receive the email, or I'll start a thread just detailing the fixtures.

    Each round you will be contacting your opponent for that round to arrange a mutually convenient time to play your game in that fortnight.

    Round 1 everyone is playing Turf War, Round 2 is Reckoning, Round 3 is Squatter's Rights, Round 4 is Reconnoiter and Round 5 is Stake a Claim.

    Game size is completely up to you, new players may prefer to play smaller games but that is for the players to decide.

    So I presume you are going to use bettes 'one with the night' to bury Tara and then use the child's 'just like you' to cast 'faces in the void' from Tara?

    The question is can you cast just like you using one of Tara's spells if she is buried as technically she is not in play

    Assuming that the Child can use Just Like You to cast one of Tara's spells when she's buried, can he do the same thing when Tara (or a different leader) has died?

    Just Like You requires no interaction with the Leader (no LoS or similar) and totems are no longer removed when the master is removed. Therefore I'm finding it hard to find a reason why he couldn't.

    Note: not saying I think he should be able to as what I think should or shouldn't be is irrelevant.

    I just discovered the game details link but the page looks uneditable right now. Are we going to fill those pages or that is your authority?

    We're working on making it so that players can fill in their own match details. However that's not live yet so until it is please continue to send them to me (vassalfaux@gmail.com)

    So! New to leagues. I have my group--Industry Station. Do I just set up a game with anyone, or did I miss being assigned someone specific? If the former, is there a chance of getting a thread together to plan this stuff out so I don't have to go hunting for my people?

    Check your spam folder for the email account you gave me. I emailed everyone on the 19th September with their first round fixtures, contact details for their opponents and how to send in the scores...

    Also what SS size games are we doing?

    ... the email also said that the game are of no fixed size. Play whatever size you wish to play or have time to play :)

    Edit: I also emailed everyone on the 27th September with a link to our new shiny website which has all of the fixtures loaded into it.

    There are a few issues with this assessment, if you'll allow me.

    First, I don't have my book on me, but I thought that the Student of Conflict was the Viktoria's Totem, so would be unhirable by Lady J? If she can take it, I'll go out right away and buy the Viki's new box, I was already tempted, but giving Lady J a worthwhile totem would be awesome.

    It's a merc and isn't attached to a specific master so anyone can hire it (at +1 cost)

    Second, Riposte is a damage flip, not a great sword damage flip, so did not benefit from Vendetta's positive damage flip during the beta (as it specified great sword damage flips). Which is one of the reasons Riposte was considered sub par in comparison to the last edition as a 'you don't want to attack me sucker', because no matter what it was always at a negative flip to the damage, meaning most likely it would be weak or moderate and only rarely at severe, if I'm being optimistic.

    With the great sword not getting the positive damage flips on the charge (which you always want to do in this edition) this really took a lot away from Lady J's ability to do damage.

    So really, her upgrades are pretty bad because they don't play enough to her strengths or give her alternate things to do.

    Email sent out detailing the league splits. If you have signed up and haven't received an email then check your spam folder and then contact me.

    I'll be creating threads for each of the leagues at some point and this is where you'll be able to find all of the individual breakdowns. Then I'll either use this thread or a new one to display the overall stats for all 10 leagues combined.
