  1. Very smooth blending on those models! Great work overall, but the stitched are my favorite. What colors have you used for the main body (bag/skin/whatever) ?
  2. Well, I'm no literature noob, but I second this idea wholeheartedly !
  3. Amazing work all around. Extra smooth blending on those NMM, it makes Lilith and Nekima's sword really stand out. Plus the wings on Nekima are amazing.
  4. Great tutorial ! Thanks for bringing this up. I knew of another great tutorial, but its images are gone, so its usefulness dropped a lot: http://www.miniaturewargaming.com/index.php/wiki/Photographing_Miniatures_From_Wee_Toy_Soldiers/
  5. Thanks for the comments everyone ! @Jaslyne: the bases are made with round toothpicks. I just cut them different lenghts to fit the round shape of the base, and voila ! Just be careful not to get any glue on the top or side of the wood, or else it will show when you put on the paint.
  6. First month finished minis: Ikiryo: OSL attempt Datsue-ba: And Bête noire: For more pics, follow my sig ! C&C welcomed.
  7. Time for an update ! Bête noire, Ikiryo and some experimental OSL Datsue-ba: And I began working on Seamus: As always, comments, criticism, tips tricks and techniques welcomed !
  8. Well...hum...urh...I...prefer the original. There's saggy and saggy, you know...
  9. I'm getting jealous, El Indio. I emailed Zee monday about missing cards in my Dead justice box set and I still have not received any answer. Is it because I did not include pictures ? Should I wait or should I email him again with pictures of the opened box ?
  10. Hi and welcome to the forums, fellow quebecois ! Do you guys have distribution problems at your LGS, where most of the Malifaux stuff is back order, or some not even available at all ? My LGS deals essentially with Lion rampant (awful, awful distributor, IMO) and I was wondering if other distributors in Quebec had Malifaux stuff.
  11. Just got emailed my order was completed (#9351)!
  12. Thanks for the info, Lobostele.
  13. Does anyone know which avatars are resin or part resin ? Besides aSeamus.
  14. I'm glad they're hitting the 9000's. It's getting close to my order number. Avatar Kirai, come to papa!
  15. I don't think avatars were allowed in the tournament.
  16. +1 I'm not a tournament player myself, but I'm always interested in reading battle reports from good tournament gamers.
  17. Almost finished Ikirio (I chose the same colors I put on Kirai, and it came out pretty good IMO), and the Datsue-ba is progressing slowly but surely. I will attempt OSL for the first time. Wish me luck !
  18. Awesome stuff ! can't wait to see more. What brand of textured plasticard have you used for the brick walls ?
  19. For august, my plans are to paint the Datsue-ba and Ikirio, and if I have some spare time (with two kids, that would be a miracle...), I'll start Seamus or Bête noire. I'll try to slap some paint on Ikirio and Datsue-ba by tomorrow night. Good luck to all!
  20. Very inspiring. I've never tried OSL before, and since one of the first models I will be painting for the Tale of skirmish gamers is the Datsue-ba, I will probably try it. Consider your idea stolen. Yoink !
  21. Thanks for the tip, Osoi, I'll try that next time.
  22. Well, for the Seishin, both the lighting and the highlights could be improved... I started with red and highlighted until I reached a bright yellow (2 colors I still have problems with). And now I don't know if I should perfect this scheme, or make other Seishin in different colors.
