  1. Just like the title says, this is just some things I am working on. This will be Neverborn heavy for a while until I am done with a few projects. Then I am moving to my McMourning.

So first off is my Huggy with his old base (tried a poker chip base... unsuccessful)

    And his new base

And now some WIP stitched togethers

I need to take a pic of Jacob, but you can kinda see him in the background. Also, look at all the primer!!! I have a lot to do...

  2. Thanks for the responses! :-)

I can see where adding a Beckoner would be useful, and dropping a stiched is probably the way to do it.

Arcane Effigy is pure win with Jacob. I have had 15 cards (potential 16) in my hand before because of it. They also can stay with each other easily.

I don't like starting with Huggy on the table. To fragile and to much of a target, and his An Ancient Evil is really good. I may start him on the table against someone like Lilith who struggles with :ranged attacks, but against a :ranged crew he would fall to fast. IMO!!!

I have never run Jacob with more than 4ss. I only use them for prevention flips and healing flips, or if huggy is up in Liliths grill. ;-)

So I guess my next question is, does Jacob HAVE to take a bunch of brilliant models to be effective? Or, can huggy pop out and spread enough brilliance to keep him coming back?

  3. Jacob Lynch is quickly becoming one of my favorite masters, right behind Pandy, to play. I have enjoyed playing him as a Neverborn master, and until I get Mei Feng and Misaki, will continue to use him as such. He is very effective with his crew that contains brilliance, but I am wondering what other crew compositions he could take without to many models with brilliance built in. Here is one list I was thinking of.

    Lynch

    Arcane Effigy

    Coppelius

    Insidious Madness

    Insidious Madness

    Stitched Together

    Stitched Together

    The Depleted

4ss cache because of not starting with Huggy.

It seams a bit fragile, but with the right hand ( *wink* ) could be very nasty. What do you think?

  4. Remember, you're aiming at the Ht 2 Nathan or Eric, not at the tree itself, and they are spirits, so their height doesn't factor into blocking LoS. :D

[i still think they should upgrade the originals to 50mm to match, but whatever.]

I agree. I don't like the idea of one model having two base sizes. It's inconsistent for game play.

Thematically, I fraking love these models!

  5. Ok, some advise from a guy who works in the shipping industry.

    1. Only ship papers in an envelope. More often than not anything that is not flat in the envelope will catch on something in the system and tear it open. I do want to note that we place all smalls in a tote before it goes on the conveyor system.

    2. DO NOT LEAVE EMPTY SPACE IN THE BOX!!! I can't emphasize this enough. USPS, FedEx, and UPS all use conveyor systems to move the packages from the trailers to the package cars. I work in the second largest hub in my area, and we process between 36-40 thousand pieces in a 4 hour period. That is about 10 thousand pieces an hour, going to 6 different belt lines. The conveyor belts are about 5ft wide. This is fine as long as there is no empty space in the box. 99% of the packages that flow through our system are fine, that is how the system is designed. The packages that I see smashed are the ones where there is a small item placed in a large box, with very little padding. Please, find a box to fit what you are shipping.

    3. Use a good, thick sided box. Aka, don't ship things in construction paper. ;)

    4. Kind of goes without saying, but have ample cushion inside the box if it is fragile.

Please, if you have any doubts on the way you have packed your item, take it to a "professional," or someone who works in the industry. I hate having to clean up after the contents of a box has spilled out onto the belt while I am trying to load a package car. It just makes my life harder, and has a potential to damage your stuff.

  6. So reason for this is well you are going to kill the Rapotor and the Merc turn one so that is 3 corpse counters and if done right 4 blood counters.

I don't see how you get 3 corpse counters from killing one Malifaux Raptor and one Desperate Merc, but then again I don't have the Raptor card. Please explain.:o:

  7. I actually only start the game with no more than 3. I just place them well, have good target priority and use Copellious to summon one or two. Their ability to multiply is ridiculous. I started a game with one Alp and it turned into 6 Alps by turn 2! I really am not trying to have that many but it has happened. :dontknow:
