Its about 15 bucks for the mini rules bookdepending on your FLGS. If you're buying new plastics, you'll get stat cards similar to warmahordes, although arsenal decks are also available and recommended (similar to faction decks).

You could also buy the big rule book  for ~$40 which has all the model rules in it as well as fluff stories and all the good stuff. But it isnt tiny and portable like the mini book is.

Starter boxes are not necessarily balanced at the same points level. The new boxes are awful close though, just have a peek at the actual point cost in the crew creator here: http://wyrd-games.net/community/page/malifaux_2e_crew.html to confirm. A nice thing about malifaux is that excess points are converted to an in-game resource, so you'll never be wasting points.

Wyrd is fairly protective of their IP. That said, the entirety of the wave 2 of second edition models is currently available for free in their final state. The malifaux wiki http://pullmyfinger.wikispaces.com/ has some great starting information for new players, including help with choosing a first master as well as more advanced tactica on how those masters play. Wyrd is absolutely fine with this, so long as we keep the actual numbers out and let them handle publishing free rules if thats what they want to do.

Malifaux CAN work for 3/4 player games, its more of a special case though and the game is really balanced around a 2 player set.

I'm a big Wyrd fan and Malifaux Fanatic, but even I get burned out sometimes. After doing the Beta stuff and playing almost exclusively Malifaux for.... over a year? Yeah, was getting pretty burned out on the game. Took a break, been playing DZC and Infinity and slowly been feeling that Malifaux itch calling out to get scratched.

Long term, you may just need a break. Play some other stuff to remember what's special and different about Malifaux. I could list reasons I think the game is special, but they may not really apply to you., and I dont think they'd convince you anyway. Take a step back, dont try to force yourself to love it. You'll come back to it on your own.

Because at its core; its a very addictive and fun game.

I dont think she needs that much, an upgrade for the Void Beast and just some additional in-theme minion(s) would go a long way. As Justin said, she's pretty good on her own and the "trap" is taking too much to focus on her perceived theme. Which is really just a problem of there only being a few models that fit into it.

Well, anything 1.5 should be in the seperate 1.5 section. There shouldnt really be a way to easily access it from the 2e pages.

If someone wants to go through all the 1.5 pages and add a big ol "PREVIOUS EDITION CONTENT" warning, that'd be awesome and fine, but I tihnk its a fair amount of trouble to go through, since you'd be editing every single page of wiki content from 1.5.... but, more effort has been put into less by us crazy wyrd fans.

Never be afraid to judge a book by its cover, thats what the cover is for. Pick the coolest looking Master, you'll do fine.

They are geared towards Collodi uses, but good tactical advice remains for all masters with a bit of work I think

I've got some work started on a couple minions in the Collodi Tactica if anyone wants to copy parts off for the generic entries.

I just went through and fixed a whole bunch of links on the M2E Resser page that were pointing back at their 1st edition pages.  I'll start going through the other faction pages to double check those as well. 

 

Ryle's page needs to be renamed.  It's currently Ryle M2E, not M2E Ryle like the other pages.  The Guardian, Hunter, Pistolero, and Watcher need to be renamed for similar reasons.

I apparently I lied again. I am unclear on how to link to pages in the wiki that are not created yet (for example how do I create a link to the Necrotic Machine page, which does not exist for M2e yet)?

Just click the link button and type in the model name as it would appear; so "M2e Necrotic Machine" it should dead link to the page.

Another reason why page name format is important

I've finished Papa, but some blurbs about Zoraida and Daw would be good to add.

 

Also, Death Marshal is in a good place now, but the page is named Death Marshall, with two L. Similarly, Francisco's page is spelled Franciso.
