I just checked both the card and pg 75. I did not see the phrase 'wounds which armor has no effect on.' Is there an errata I am not aware of or does the word inflict imply no armor. relevant rule quote "that model's controller may choose to inflict up to 2 of those wounds on one of the friendly metal gamin instead."

How does this ability work with armor? Suppose I have a Rail golem with Armor 2 that is hit with a 6 damage attack and I use the metal gamien to protect it. Which is correct? a) armor 2 reduces the damage to 4, 2 points of the damage is sent to metal gamien which then applies its armor to reduce the damage to 1 point. End result rail golem -2 wounds metal gamien -1 wound armor 2 reduces damage to 4, 2 points go to metal gamien armor not applied mg takes 2 dmg rail golem -2 wounds metal gamien -2 wounds c) something else

Correct. If I use discharge soulstone it will work though.

If you trigger Sleight of hand(book mask) you get a stone when the dove fails it's resist check. Magicians duel gives you the second when if the dove dies. This limits the usefulness to when you can cheat the cast to include a mask. So you spend one stone to kill the bird but get two back.

I have a few questions. I'll ask the question and put what I am assuming the answer is. I'd really appreciate it if someone could let me know if I am getting these right. Q1) When casting a spell through a totem do the caster's triggers apply? My A1) No, only the totem's triggers apply. Q2) When casting a spell that requires the discarding of a soulstone is the soulstone discarded if the casting value is not met? My A2) No. Q3) Can I target my own models with Magician's Duel? The obvious idea here is to kill my doves with the trigger activating for 2 soulstones for the cost of only one. My A3) No, I cannot target my own models with damaging spells.

That helped a whole lot. Thank you I feel very good about getting 8th place(highest for my faction) with only two pre-tournament games ever. I'm hoping to be back at adepticon next year and get better than a 15 for sportmanship.

I can figure out what VP are but I don't know how TP were or how they were determined. I have no idea what diff is refering too either. Can I get some explanation?
