Well then, here we go.
Experienced wargamer but new to Malifaux, I am waiting on my rules and first mini orders to arrive at the LGS.
Meanwhile I thought I'd plan my next move. I have chosen the Arcanist faction initially, obviously, and the crew I have on order is Miss DuBois and her caste of homicidal understudies. I have ordered these ladies simply because I adore the models; but I am aware they are as much of a bitch to play as you would expect them to be if you say tried to buy them a drink on a Friday night at the local.
So I want something in the Arcanist faction a little more friendly and reliable for a beginner to the rules to grapple with while learning, and to hopefully also have a little success along the way.
Now I have read that Marcus is......... well solid at everything except winning reliably.
So do I stay with the aloof women theme and grab the cold hearted ice queen?
Or do I jump on board fellow M&SU member (not sure what that signifies till I read the fluff) Ramos and his anti-luddite-arachnophobe mob?
Is there another Arcanist Master I am blissfully unaware of (not unlikely I tend to be remarkably unaware if not as blissful as I'd want)? If not what is the advice on a simple solid master, probably between Rasputina and Ramos (as Marcus seems universally panned).
Also I have ordered Collette and her box so also have Cassandra, 2x Performers and Mannequins; a box of Doves (I think that is 3); and the Corphyees (Freddy Krueger does nightmare at Milan).... love it.
What else if anything should I look at for the Showgirls crew in the future in order to make them a hit on opening night. What is the recommended Chorus Line (trying to stay with our Burlesque theme)?
Thanks people hope the gaming is simply grand.

Thanks magicpockets.
Did more research after the post and noticed that Ramos also appears to have better cross support with Collette at least that was the trend I picked up. So guessing he might have the most longevity and I'm leaning towards him in my next order.
