  1. Hi guys, As a long time 40k player and founding member of a local gaming club (Rotterdam for those who are interested) which after almost 5 years is still going strong, I'm sensing that we as a club are starting to drift away from warhammer (for different reasons, mostly to diversify our games) and starting to look at new horizons. We've already starting playing dystopain wars and some of us started playing FoW (although the fact that maelstrom doesn't supply anymore, may bring an end to this), but I noticed that the whole steampunk feel really facinates most members. I've know about Wyrd for quite some time now (saw the first miniatures way back when) and I think now is a good time to introduce Malifaux to my club. For that I need the help of you guys. For starters how does the game play when compared to necromunda and mordheim (both games my club has a lot of experience with and likes quite a lot)? How big is the board you play on for a standard game? What is a standard size game? 25 ss? I read somewhere that for a 25 ss game you'll need about 3'x3' (1mx1m) gaming board and generally just fill the whole thing up with terrain. Is this comparable with mordheim? Because we've got tons of mordheim terrain lying around (I presume this game takes the game also to a vertical level with buildings). If the 3'x3' board is true it would be great, because that means I can also host games at home (a 29 m^2 room, so space isn't huge for bigger tables ) As for initial purchasing I came up with the following list: Malifaux hardcover rulebook, the new mini rulebook for updated rules, 2 card decks, Sonia Criid starterpack, Ramos starterpack (this will be my crew, because I really like arcanists), an extra arachnid swarm and a brass arachnid (maelstrom says it's out of stock at the supplier, is this true?). Are the Criid and Ramos crew a good match up? When things start rolling I'm thinking about taking a showgirls crew and a spirits of vengeance set. How do these 2 crews play? Thanks in advance for any help and advice. Any tips would be much appreciated .
