-

heres what ive gotten done in dec/jan

ooohh... that model really bothers me too... however it also bothers most all of my opponents which is why i love it! good luck finding a model that works but dont forget these guys have 360 front arcs so theres no reason you cant face her large backside toward your opponent and advance her that way!, make sure to paint the highlights nice...
haha.. sorry i know im not much help.

Sybelle in all her glory: went for that reddish brown patent leather look...
-
who wears short shorts?
-
thanks omen, i really like the slight mod too... i love the model and didnt want to change it but the pinstripes looked awkward at best stopping a the knee.. those long stripes really need to be carried all the way down.. but i think it came out really good... we'll see once its re-primered. im considering greenstuffing a whole suit onto the avatar!? although im thinking about seamus with a bunch of tattoos also?
off to go try and get some painting in!

Ok, well... been gettin some stuff done as of lately.. me and a few friends who post together on this blog:
have started a tale of painters challenge.. getting lists together and painted.. for more pics and info check out the site..
it has made me start work on my seamus crew.. last i posted i had a pin stripe scheme for seamus...
primered:
ok then i found these lovelies!
nice... so my scheme is going to go something like this:
started off... first belle, based off of dress #1... it didnt come out quite right... the blue is too baby blue.. the peach is now more of a pink.. and the yellowish is more green... im not that worried about it i think it will fit into the mix and i am getting another box of belles so i will have to try dress #1 again on another... but anyway:
based coated sybelle:
after trying the pinstripes through photoshop i realized it was gonna look crappy unless seamus had pants.. the kneepads and boots break up to much of the lines and it looked silly unless i could carry the striping all the way down the leg... so:
let me know what you guys think!

Just wanted to give a shout out to wyrd and the lovely holiday scenarios.. Me and my buds are having a fantastic time playing these. It's really refreshing to play a game that is just really really fun, objective based, and where scenery really shines..
thanks thanks thanks..
also for a battle report of both the living dead and Krampus scenarios along with a great holiday Krampus poem and some other goodies check out:
Krampus WIP:
Merry Krampus!

hey... would love to join? is that possible? sorry im late
heres what im working on: couple of onryo.... ive been away from gaming for a while cuz i had daughter... but im starting to be able to sneak some hobby time in again and i could use some motivation!
-
just thought i would necro this thread... ended up doing a little work tonight! first time in a while... pretty psycked.. i had a daughter recently so i have not really hobbied at all in forever! oh well... certain things take precedence.
anyway just threw some paint on the onryo to see what would happen.. i like whats coming out so far.. we'll see where it goes:
Also slapped some paint on the seishin to see what it might look like... two versions as of now.. one pink and yellow... the other pink and yellow with an orange face... would love some feedback on which version works better.. at first i thought the orange faced one was a bit much but now its growing on me:
these models are far from finished but i would love any criticism or comments... thanks !

yea.. i think what happened was i was getting a really cool yellow under dress going which had layers of brown and yellow and the orange tie around her upper waist stuck out well... then with the blood splatter everything turned orange and just blended together oh well... live and learn... in the end i wished i had just carved out the head before priming.. i may add some darker stuff to the blood.. i may also go back and paint over it.. not sure yet? think i will work on the base for now..
-
its been a while... slow progress... yard work and gardening seems to be taking most of my time. anyway let me know what you think.. base still needs more work obviously.. i may change the hair? and i ended up going with the bloodied look.. didnt really want to splatter up my paint job but the cut off head just didnt seem right without it.. i do think it came out pretty cool though... advice much appreciated:
and some base coating to change things up, think the crew will complement itself nicely..
-
no dont repaint! just spray them wit dullcoat and they will be fine!
-
man, i have no idea about anything about this game but i am psycked!!!!!
wooooohooooo....
these are gonna be some nice little models...
-
dgraz- your crew is sick! nice work.. ive actually been really motivated by yours and rattys kirai crews... i like the highlight on the hair.. gets that sheen. im going for that for sure... also i dig the wings on the shikome.. i did something similar with my legion of everblight winged creatures.. i threw a link in a few posts up you should check it out...
i almost went with flowers for the kimono... it was tough not too.. im actually thinking of ordering another kirai or two in order to create some alt. kimono styles... think that would be pretty cool...
-
yup... i agree... pretty sure i'm planning on black hair. thanks for the input
CloudFangs Rezzer Battle Reports!
in Battle Reports
Posted
So i started trying to put down a better format for battle reports. Im not great at them yet, but I hope to get better and I hope to eventually start some video bat reps. I play rezzers and our group has been doing a Tale of Painters to start things off. So heres a link to the first battle we did.. I will be posting links since the way im writing reports doesnt translate well to forum posts. The first one also only has feedback from me.. unfortunately Ive been waiting for my buddy to edit his but I gave up on him for this one. So give him some shhh... crap about not posting yet in the comments section and maybe he will do something about it.
also in the works is a justice report half done. I will continue to post here when I put up a new report.. heres the first one... let me know what you think.
