Yeah that is a bad picture now that you mention it...I took it in a different room then normal, bad lighting i guess. Ill post a better one in a second.
here is part two of the duo
Alfons the 'other guy'
Still some touch ups to do but they're 95% done. Just some line clean up and a little more highlighting.
I want to sell my Lizardmen I just haven't gotten around to it, If i get bored enough and run out of Malifaux (not likely considering my shopping list) I'll paint the things. Looking at that whole gray army is depressing.
Thanks Munkey right now I'm working on my Freikorps while rasputina is KIA and my Silent One...is staring at me. I don't know how to approach the silent one haha. This should all be done early next week then I have a Henchmen app to fill out! whoot whoot!
@Sephiroa- that is some REALLY nice looking snow! And your models are painted beautifully as well. How did you pull off the drybrushing on the cloaks? I'm terrible at it but when done well I think its nice. My Cerberus was just Ink and drybrush but I'm unable to recreate that stroke of luck.
Currently Recruiting. Freikorp crew WIP. This is really helping me to understand how to paint cloth stuff and other things. My Rasputina crew is still a WIP but for the moment my progress has been KIA. In the meantime I will spend the wee hours of the night painting my Freikorps Crew. Here's the first of two Freikorpsmen. The other is still getting some highlights. (this one isn't totally finished either but there's only a little bit left to do)
Without further adeu I present Arnold the Freikorpsmen
I actually agree with that, to be more specific with my remark. I dislike as a method to paint the model. I pretty much only drybrushed my Cerberus and it looks ok but when it comes to painting cloaks and other objects as a layer of its own I find it lacking.
epiphany, I dislike drybrushing. Its fast and easy but definately more suited to games like warhammer where each individual models details are lost in the mob. I need to strip the paint off my Rasp but she'll be done quickly I promise. Till the I'm working on my Freikorps. Brace yourself for that thread
how do you use the snow/water effect efficiently because that sounds perfect. Mixing flocks looks nice and I think that I might do it now that the ideas in my head. I also am going to build a table soon so the more the merrier
Update from the frontlines:
Rasputina is done, but not pretty at all. I need to paintstrip and redo all of it....I have no idea how to paint clothing. Its pretty bad. I'm forseeing the same problem with my silent one so I haven't touched her yet.
I actually order my stuff online but the closest places to me that have it are named Games Parlor. One is in Chantilly VA and the other is in Woodbridge VA
yeah i spent an obscene amount of time making them look that way, im happy with the result though.
@Er1k- Yeah I was going to do a mix of stones and snow, going for mountainous with the bases. I have the snow but just not the sand right now.
thanks alot! thats really encouraging. Tomorrow on my paint block is the rest of my Tina crew and then i'm starting on Freikorps with Taelor, Hans and Convict Gunslinger.
