Ok, so I have the Lilith box plus a couple of young Nephalim. I am going to get the Cherub and was wondering what else would be good to add. Not sure really as the next 2 models I want to get are not released until April (Nekima and Shaman). I am also going to be getting the Dreamer boxed set along with possibly a Teddy and a pack of Daydreams. Am I on the right lines? By the way I love the game and am really pleased I got into it. Thanks for all your help!

Looks like we are all set guys! I don't think I will have my crew assembld but hope to have read at least some of the rules. Monsterpocalypse - one of my favourites! I used to have a regular opponent but he sadly gave up so maybe we could have a game of that sometime. I have a fleet for uncharted seas and that is quite a good game, I think Dystopia Wars uses a similar system. Hope you feel better for the weekend Chris!

Well, that's it, plunge taken! Rulebook, deck, Lilith box and a blister of young ordered. I will then move onto the Dreamer once I have these painted and a few games under my belt (or whatever Nephalim keep their trousers up with!). Spent a couple of evenings reading Karn's tactics article (great read). Some elements are a mystery without the rulebook but I am hoping it will start sinking in when I start playing Planning on painting them with an overall purple colour scheme (just to see if I can get the wife interested!). Will post some pics once they are done. Also looking forward to a few of the new models coming in Feb/Mar/Apr. Should make some good additions to the crew! Take it easy

I am away tomorrow and Thursday but hoping it may be here when I get back. I ordered mine from Firestorm, what about you? Would be good to see your models. Chris is bringing his stuff so there is the off chance we can find a quiet corner and play through a turn or two. My geek excitement is almost too much! lol

Best way to learn is to play - good to see you are getting to grips with the system. I have been reading the v2 cards for Liliths crew and there certainly are a lot of abilities. After a couple of games I am sure we will get into it though. What other games do/have you played? I am normally a Warmachine man myself. Sounds like you guys are really getting some stuff together! I have a bid on a lot on ebay to see if I can get the books and a quick painted crew but we will see. Failing that on Monday I will order the rulebook and probably a Lilith crew as I have decided to go with Neverborn. Am currently in the process of reading every Malifaux article on the net until I can get my hands on a rulebook!

Wow you guys are good! Go away, have dinner, come back and there is loads of useful advice already! Think I may go for Lilith then from what you are saying. I'm not against the challenge of the Dreamer but if Lil is fast and hard hitting that sounds right up my street for now! Karn - I have had a brief look at your tactica's and to be honest they are one of the reasons for going with Neverborn. Knowing there is all that knowledge and ideas available will hopefully give me a good chance of picking up how to use them. Thanks again - i'm off for a read!

Hi all, Looking at getting my first crew and am leaning towards Neverborn. I have been gaming for a good while and now play mostly warmachine. Would the Dreamer be a bad place to start to learn the game? If so, would Lilith/Zoraida perhaps be a better place to start? I am thinking that as I expand, I will have a number of models which I can re-use with the different masters. My only issue with Lilith is that I see the tots etc grow into the larger versions. Does this mean I will need to buy lots of extra models to be available for the various 'growths' through the stages? If so how many would I need for a decent starting crew? Is this the same for Resurrectionists where you need extra models to raise? I realise I am asking a thousand questions but any help from you Neverborn experts would be much appreciated! Thanks, G

Hi mate, Devilshot and I sometimes go to the Crossed Swords club in Ivybridge so were thinking about having a game on the 10th of Feb if you are down then? If not we can arrange another time or I live in Ivybridge so you could both come round for a game here (and you can bring your board!). I don't have anything yet but if I don't win a collection currently on eBay I will pick up a rulebook and go from there. Just trying to decide which crew! All the best, Adam

Thanks for the kind welcomes! Seems like there is a really helpful and positive community here Keep changing my mind on what to start with and am now thinking about Neverborn. Would Lillith be a good place to start? The only thing that worries me is that if all of the Nephalim are going to be growing into others, am I going to need to buy a large number of models for a small crew? Same question I guess with the Resurrectionists as to whether I will need to buy a lot of extra models to raise? The benefit of Lillith is that I would be able to use some of the models in the ultimate plan which is to get The Dreamer. Thinking that may not be a good crew to start with though! Thanks for the help

Hey Jim, Thanks for getting back to me. Would love a game sometime down at the club. I am away with work next Thursday but Feb 10th might be a possibility? We would have to use your stuff if that's ok but I may be able to pick up a rulebook to have a read through beforehand. I am trying to decide which crew to go for. The Ice Golems etc look cool but won't get them if you have them already. The Gremlins look interesting too though! All the best Adam

Hi all, I am just looking at getting into the game and also wondering if there are any other players in SW England (particuarly near Plymouth). I am interested in getting the Bayou crew so will be reading a few articles soon i'm sure! The only thing that puts me off the game slightly are the number of Errata/FAQ. Dos this make the game difficult to get into, especially bearing in mind I may be doing so with no other experienced players in the area? All the best and thanks in advance for any help, Adam
