Wow, thank you for such quick advice you guys. I did not know Colette was difficult, so thank you for that, otherwise I probably would have bought her. :/ I most likely will at some point cause this game is really cool, but for now I'll wait. A lot of the crews you listed as difficult kind of rule out all the cool ones, lol. At least, in terms of my taste, but that's ok. Maybe I'll just stick with Kirai afterall. You mentioned needing to buy a lot of extras, what would you advise to purchase for her and how many?

Hey, so I've never played miniatures before but out one day with a friend who does I saw Malifaux sitting on a shelf. I examined the books, taking in the gorgeous artwork and interesting characters/storyline and after a little debate my friend and I decided to each pick up a box set. We both bought two crews from the Resurrectionist's, McMourning and Kirai. Now, I admit I bought Kirai mostly out of her cool factor, and was advised by someone we had seen looking at them as well to just go with whatever ones we wanted because they were all pretty well balanced. However, the other night I watched two guys play against each other, one with a Kirai set, and noticed Kirai is kind of difficult to play due to her low health, etc. I have also read stuff online that she can be sort of difficult to play and while I like her I wonder if I might have picked a harder box set for a beginner to play. I'm very unfamiliar with these games and while am interested and excited to play and get better, I was wondering what you guys would advise is maybe a good set for a beginner. I was looking at the Colotte set as a possible alternative. I'm sure I can manage with Kirai once I get the hang of things a little better.
