  4. Some other models to consider for McMourning crew:

Johan (or Johanna if you want plastic) - Nice merc beatstick but more importantly has condition removal which work well with nurses.

Chiaki - Yan Lo's support piece who heals and has the all important condition removal. She's cheaper than bringing in Johan as a merc.

Rafkin (metal only)- Technically he's Nico's assistant but has excellent synergies with Poison. As an Enforcer, he can be a candidate with the Transfusion upgrade.

Guild Lawyer (plastic in the Lucius box)- Not just for Guild McMourning as they can be hired with Moonlighting. They can potentially hand out poison and buffing other models with Hard to Wound is quite useful.

  5. The only Arcanist crew that cares about immunity-removal is Rasputina's - do you really think they'll struggle to remove the Effigy from play before it reaches their lines? If you're counting on it being there to remove immunities, then you can count on it not being there for long.

Raspy and Mei Feng (with Kang). Its not a matter of whether they kill the Carrion Effigy but whether you have enough pressure from other threats that it doesn't become a target priority without a potentially deadly model acting instead.

  6. The Arcane Effigy has it utility but shouldn't necessarily be slotted in every reser list.  As stated previously, he is very useful against a Raspy crew as while models like the Hanged strip away the immunity to terrifying; a frozen heart model still ignores the paralysis. I'd probably take the Carrion Effigy in several of my list if I was going against an Arcanist crew blind in a tournament just in case some Frozen Heart models are taken in the crew.

I find it more useful in a Seamus terrifying list. It along with the Hanged make for good coverage on the board to strip away fear immunities that several crews have. Seamus w/ Sinister Reputation, a Rogue Necromancy and the Carrion Effigy make for a bubble of suck for your opponent.

It also has it uses in a Molly list since she has no real need for corpse markers and its one of the few ways that Molly can heal herself.

  7. Two formatting issues I noticed with the character sheet when filling it out:

pg. 2 - Pursuit get mirrored if either entry is filled out (pursuits should be individual)

pg. 3 - Station destiny is centered in the box and does not word wrap like the other destiny boxes.

  8. Hello all!

I am about to run Through the Breach at a local convention next weekend and will be providing pre-made character. I was wondering if anyone has done a form fillable character for Through the Breach yet? My handwriting is not great and would much prefer the crisp neat look of typed text.

  9. Height only has to do with range & line of sight with regards to models and terrain. It has nothing to do with base size or the physical size of the model. This allows for model with dynamic posing or players to model whatever they want without worrying about modeling for advantage.

For example, you could have a height 2 model on a 30mm, 40mm or 50mm base. Also there are models that are Ht 1 but the physical model is larger then some ht 2 models (e.g. effigies).

  10. Yeah I meant casting damage. As in you can only kill hungering darkness (propaböy) with ca attacks.

You can kill Huggy. Incorporeal just makes it harder to kill but not impossible. If you are talking Seamus crew specially then taking Crooked Men with Belles is a nice, staple combo.

  11. Recently, I was looking for someone to paint my Pandora - Bringer of Woe (Avatar form). I'm not a bad painter but have less time to paint and looking for a commission painter to work on some possible future projects. I've tried a few painters a couple of years (e.g. Blue Table, local guys, etc) but haven't been completely 100% satisfied. Luckily the last year or so, with the advent of blogging, have produced a great amount of quality small commission painters.

After hearing about The War Gamer hub on the 11th Company podcast, I did a little research checking out his website and blog. I liked the quality of painting that he seemed produced for the price plus the ease of the shopping cart had some appeal too. I did the level 2 with light affect as I thought it be be awesome to see some OSL come from the spirits. Attached are the results or you can check out their blog as well

Overall I would have to say I was quite pleased with not only the model but the level of customer service. Turn around time time was about two weeks from when they received my model. Plus I got weekly update with clear pictures asking for any input or request with the progress. I wasn't expecting this level of service and would recommend to anyone else looking for a commission painter.
