Ash is going? Looks like it's me and Adam for the first game then . . . fun fun =p
-
=O If Ash can go, then I play Adam, and if not I play James first game . . . I don't know which one I would rather start with. But it's not looking good for the first game for me lol

And obviously don't tell her she was an afterthought, make it look like you came all that way just to see her? . . . GENIUS! =p

Hmmmmm....interesting....Timmy is a Ninja Ginger. Would love to see another ginger final!
Do you really want another ginger final?
Jo - "Times up, who wins?"
Us - "It's a draw"
Jo - "Play on!"
15 minutes later
Us - "All the models are dead, and it's a draw"
Jo - "Replay it then"
Half an hour later
Jo - "Times up, who wins?"
Us - "It's a draw"
Jo - "Play on!"
15 minutes later
Me - "There's 1 model left, and Mitch wins by 1 VP . . . can I go die in a hole now?"
Jo - "No, you've got to play a massive Brawl with no break for lunch"
:exhaustedpuppet

If it is anything like Neverata's other tournaments (and why wouldn't it be), then it uses Gaining Grounds. Which says that crew must be painted to a reasonable standard (if memory serves).

Can't believe how quickly this is filling up. WIll need to find a bigger venue that opens longer for the next one!
Maybe when the club sorts out it's venue status, you may be able to finally sort out weekend bookings.

So basically . . . Haunting Melody gets round Immune to Influence, which makes sense as it's not influencing the model to do something (like Lure or Obey), it is just telling the model they are insignificant.

Playing "Hide The Dreamer" is a great way to practice for when those Daydreams have been killed. I once spent an entire game with the Dreamer and a stitched on a rooftop, with the Dreamer dropping Chompy down on the Claim Jump, then hopping back on the roof in one activation. Hide and Seek is a great game =p

As long as you haven't managed to Alpha Levi and put him on hardly any wounds first ; ]
But yes, that is a great way to take them out. There are very few things that can sacrifice enemy models though, so this one way of getting round DnD is quite rare.

One of the clubs in the US has done tournaments with a list of House Rules. One of which was this. I haven't seen or heard any feedback from it, but I'm sure that this is something that would be greatly recieved by non-Neverborn players. And tbh, even as a Neverborn player I would like it ruled this way. If only so I don't feel like I have to take 3 Stitched Together when I play Slaughter in a competitive game.
-
So if you are playing Dreamer and Collodi. You can give Stitched Fast, bury them. Bring them out the next turn, then if they die you can give them fast again with Collodi before reactivating them. Stitched with 6 Gamble Your Lifes? Yes please! =p

I thought that to take the terrifying you had to start or end an activation in the melee range of terrifying, or charge a terrifying model. When you have fly or float you can move over models melee range areas without doing disengaging strikes, so why would you suddenly have to be taking terrifying tests as well?

I love the support system that allows enthusiastic players to get more people into the game. The majority of Henchpeople do a great job of drumming up support, and getting people into the game.
I love how open and willing the major people behind the scenes with appearing for interviews, and commenting on the forum. It really helps people see how enthusiastic you are about the game, and is one of the reasons I haven't played another wargame for nearly 12 months. It has been a great year of Malifaux for me, and I can't thank the people at Wyrd enough.

What happens if you can't put 3 lists in? Ashley only Knows how to play one list
Trolling ftw!
And technically swapping 1 model for another is a 2 model difference . . . but seeing as you're Jesus, that outranks Moses, even pedantic Moses. =p

Nah, it's Munchkin Monday!!!!!!
Hopefully we can get some games in over Xmas then (maybe with your Dad, Mike and Ash too) to see if we can work anything out
Sounds like a plan! =]

Aidan I'm at work - I will have to send it later!! Or get Ian to forward it
Adam - three Hamelin lists are fine as long as there are two models difference in each as per what I've put in the rules pack
all fun fun fun!
Would removing 1 model and replacing it with another model be a 2 model difference? ie. replacing Lilitu with Lelu

3 Levi lists Adam . . . =D
-
Yeah but getting those extra turns means you can be busy doing your schemes and strategy. At least then you are getting some VP to pull out a close win or a draw.
-
I'm not free until the next club night, and I don't know whether you want to play Malifaux or something more fun. But I might be up for a game some time next week other than Monday.

I don't count, but without trying you can usually remember that you've used one or both of the jokers up. Knowing that the Black Joker isn't in the rest of the deck, means you can get in those hits knowing you will do damage if you hit. Then when it comes to the face cards, you can usually think that there might be some left, but that is only really when it comes down to the last few cards, and if you've burned through the high cards going through the deck, you're probably (read hopefully) doing enough damage in the right places.
And I will always stick to trying to flip as many cards as possible, and causing my opponents to flip cards for no reason (Terrifying, Hard to Wound etc)
-
It most certainly would. The larger the distance the better. Just as I guess, I'm thinking that you're thinking of using the Dead Rider to Drag the Waif? . . . Because that would be risky, but genius! =p
-
I play placement of counters like Replace. So the player causing the Replace chooses placement. So in this case, if you kill a model, you can choose where to place the counter(s). But I can't find anywhere in the rules that it tells you what to do (other than when dropping counters upon death).
-
Says the guy who plays Chompy and Collodi in the same crew
To be fair, you told me to play it in the 3rd game. =p
And you use Hamelin and Nix ; ]
Also, there is a difference between twisting the rules to suite your ends, and using models that are naturally more powerful than others. LCB and Collodi are just better against Levi than vice versa.
-
Tips for Levi . . . hide from super fast, hard hitting crews. And Austringers. Other than that . . . Always take a Canine Remains to kill and turn into a Waif. But other than that, with the extensive range of models Levi has, you can pick the models you like to get the job done (as there are several that fill the same role(s), and you don't NEED them all)
