n. The horrible transformation of a man to a man demon, a creature of Fire, which the elves call a Mephguóur (styrásh: "devoured by hellfire"). These lesser demons were mainly used in ancient times by dark sorcerers in order to guide more powerful creatures conjured from hell in order to fulfill the evil purposes assigned to them by the mages.
I have just returned from my first visit to GenCon. While I had first seen wyrd miniatures a few months back, admittedly they were a bit to weird for me to pursue. I had no interest in playing the skirmish style game. After checking out a demo and speaking with one of Wyrd's top guys (Eric Johns), not to mention a handful of hours ogleing the minis and books) I had to say I completely changed my mind. The quality of the minis, the great gaming mechanics, and the unique and creepy cool fluff converted me. Kudos to all of the volunteers and makers of Malifaux for using all of their passion and excitement to pull in one more gamer.
I live in Dallas and will be setting up shop with a couple of my friends that have also recently purchased some starters at GenCon. I hope to grow our gaming group locally and set some fire to the forums here with gamers across the globe.
I cannot wait to read (and share) battle reports and tactics from the many scraps that are going on. Glad to be a new member to the board and cannot wait to chat with all of you.
