  1. As a new player, I'm all for it! Any help is good help. -Cheers!
  2. +1 on the Dupli-Color Sandable Primer. I picked up one of those plastic pistol grip/trigger things as well for a couple of bucks. Makes it a little easier to get a nice sweeping motion going. I've used Gesso before too. It's great for when the weather is just not very spray friendly - especially winter. It looks extremely globby when you first apply it, but it shrinks as it dries and brings back the detail nicely. It seems to come off a lot easier than sprays as well, so I'd only use it on models you were going to paint right away before you play with them. Once it is painted and sealed though, it's fine. Cheers!
  3. Thanks for the help folks! @dgraz - That's about 10 miles from my parent's place. Did it used to be Men at Arms or something? I used to buy models and stuff there when I was a kid... @Xango - I've actually been thinking about starting with Ramos. I also like Lilith and Seamus to possibly start with. Maybe the Ortegas... @Gongsun - That's exactly the problem I have! I just don't know where to start! I also like some of the Masters in book 2, but I figure it'd be a good idea to start with one of the originals until I learn the game. @KirigakurenoHaku - I'm not too sure on playstyle yet. I've never really played a skirmish type game before. I generally tend to be on the shooty side in other games though. - The background is why I'm kind of leaning towards Ramos first though. I like the whole "power to the common man" angle and I also love steampunk. I heard he can be a bit tricky to get the hang of first though. Cheers!
  4. I actually grew up on Long Island! I still head down to visit my folks every few months or so (they live in Medford), so I'll give a shout next time I go. Cheers!
  5. Of course I'm interested! Any insight or advice that anyone can provide would be appreciated! Cheers!
  6. Hullo folks! I'm a new player near Albany, NY. I've seen a few demos and bought the first rulebook, but I haven't decided on a starting crew yet. I'm sure I'll be getting just about all of them as I time goes on... I'm just not sure who'll break me in gently. Regardless, I'm looking forward to playing! Cheers!
