  1. Cheers for the input, I think I'll look at the other faction options first and keep the Resurrectionists to McMourning and his monsters for the moment.
  2. Initial post edited As my question about McMourning has been answered and he seems to be more what I was looking for I can use the new plastic starters as a chance to try something a bit different. Which crew would be a good place to start if I wanted to play the manipulation/control game such as moving opposing models about rather than insert fist/bullet A into opponent B?
  3. Sounds good, I'll have to dig out my models and give his new version a go, I can use these new plastic starter crews as a chance to try out something new.
  4. It may well have been me using him wrong or he changed from version 1 to 1.5 as I stopped playing before 1.5 came around. Being a Guild master as well makes things interesting as well as a crew can focus on his creations with the rest of the crew being living models. The Resurrectionist range seems all over the place with its themes and a large amount of the options available didn't seem to go very well thematically with McMourning to me.
  5. I'm looking into giving Malifaux another go now that the 2nd edition has come around and am trying to decide which crew to get in the shiney new plastics. In 1st edition I played a couple of games with McMourning mostly based on what was in the starter thinking it was a mad scientist with his assistants and monsters, so slow melee beatsticks with support and repair. However McMourning turned out to be a one man and his dogs summoning factory and the crew just trundled about throwing Canine Remains at things. Does McMourning still play in the same type of way in this edition or has he become more of an active player in what's going on in the game? Also as I'm looking to start new with the plastics would it be an idea switching over to another master and crew, do people have any suggestions for a better melee based starter with a master who has a more active role than just pumping out Canine Remains and the occasional Flesh Construct. /Edit As my question about McMourning has been answered and he seems to be more what I was looking for I can use the new plastic starters as a chance to try something a bit different. 6. Cheers for the help, I'll give those suggested models a go and proxy up something like Dr. Douglas McMourning Zombie Chihuahua 1 Sebastian, Morgue Assistant 6 Rotten Belle 4 Canine Remains 2 Canine Remains 2 Canine Remains 2 Crooked Man 4 Crooked Man 4
  7. I've just starting playing Malifaux and have had a couple of games with the following 25 soulstone McMourning crew. McMourning Sebastian Nurse 2 Zombie Punks 2 Canine Remains However all it seemed to do was trundle slowly across the table then keel over before I could really get anything into combat. I've had a look on the forums and seen several of the tricks that you can pull of like McMourning chopping up the dogs to make the Flesh Construct but I'm looking at more general advice on how to get a Resurrectionist force to actually engage the enemy. I'm going to play some games and proxy some of the other Resurrectionist stuff before I throw my toys out of the cot and give up on the faction so any advice on how to improve the list I've been playing would also be much appreciated.
