i like the added security of pinning mine to there bases...its not much work really and you never have to worry about them coming off at inoppurtune times..... although ive had to come up with creative alternatives after seeing the size of some of the wyrd plastic ( try pinning a zombie chihuahua....go ahead i dare you) but in those cases i just plastic cement a bit of small sprue to the bottom of the foot/feet and use a slightly larger bit to make a hole to fit that in.... and for metal you can even just trim the tab down to leave small pieces under the feet to use as already built in pins....

yea....the metal flesh constructs .... just no.... they are both horrendous looking, and not in a good way for stitched together monster...
-
thanks guys numbers seem relatively consistent to say they are in the right area so ill shoot for those ... 2 flesh constructs from wyrd ...any suggestions on a good alternate sculpt from a different company for a third? i hate having duplicate sculpts.... think i have the canine remains covered though
-
i havnt been able to check on the forums much lately.... went looking for the latest beta rules...and was confused as to why i did not see them..... thought maybe i was just overlooking a link somewhere.... why was the beta postponed?

I have just started with the ressurectionist faction and am almost done painting my mcmourning box set... i was just curious after the box set.... how many canine remains and felsh constructs would i feasibly need on hand for a game to summon from?

i did see an advertisement in the newet game traders magazine (GTM) that said summer 2014..... so hopefully in the next 3 months or so would be superb.... untill then ill happily wait ... i have a feeling it will be very worth it...

i do not think there is a limit on guild autopsys so as many as you can do with the ap and corpse counters available id say....
while i have zero table time with McM and crew i have been reading up a bit, and it seems that the doctor and sebastian really need to be in the mix so to speak.... hanging back may be bad... sebastian especially, while fragile, does very bad things at about 6"...
as to dealing with pine box.... thoughtful positioning can go a long way here, its very short range and death marshals only have 2 ap.... do look out for judge using Stand for Judgement(is that the correct name of the ability?) which lets him move some stuff around a bit....
as i said zero table time but thats the general stuff ive picked up here and there

ohh np...like i said it wasnt very intuitive initially.... first instinct is to glue two legs together i guess...
also not knowing you or how new to the modeling hobby you are, but seeing that you stated you are not very good at assembly...i cannot recommend more, getting in a habit of test fitting parts before applying glue . it was a lesson i learned the hard way and would be quite proud of myself if i can help others avoid such a fate as i had....

IIRC when i was putting together Nicodem... i had to glue his living leg to the coat bottom and feed the mechanical leg up thru the coat and glue it that way....sort of an odd way to do it but to get the look of the sculpt right i can understand it.....
so question is did you glue the two legs together first?

Out of interest where are all you guys based that can't find regular games?
southern west virginia..... its a sad dreary little corner of nowhere

I was very burnt out by 40k, to the point of shelving it all in a closet( and having three full 2000= pt armies....its considerable closet space...) and when i caught wind of new malifaux rules and models, ireally wanted to play and paint malifaux again. At the time alot of my gaming buddies were very on board with the idea.... sadly when it came time to actually get together and get models and learn the new rules....everyone went poof....
so now i have great models that i like to paint ( having painted more in the last few months than i had painted in years of 40k...) but noone willing to play the game....and that is killing my motivation even for malifaux at the moment.
its upsetting, and i try to get a game in whenever someone will actually agree to....its rare, i get alot of "oh thats my warhammer night" and " i just cant get into another game system right now..." but occasionly a buddy will agree to play malifaux with me.... but nothing consistent or even a diverse player base really.

eagerly awaiting the store opening, and the victorian sets.... cant seem to find the retail site address though...just links to the indiegogo...and some smattering of forum posts referencing it.... hook a guy up with that info possibly?

I went with the flaming skulls....they just looked too cool to pass up.... plus i really like ghost rider from marvel comics, and they put me in the mind of him...

ill have to check this out when i get home from work, but that seems like an amazing idea! looking at the samples if they come out like that, AND i can do whichever configuration id need... you may have just solved me headaches i didnt even know i had.

when i affixed my girlfriends belles( along with quite a few other models... candy, copycat, a few other smallish models) i used a spare piece of sprue the parts that affix the model to the larger sprue part, and plastic cemented it to the feet to make a "pin" then just drilled an appropriate sized hole in the base( i used resin Secret weapon mini bases) and glued them that way slight gap filling to touch up the base and have had o issues with them since

iirc that is an old rule from original malifaux/1.5.... but is no longer in the rule set with M2E
i could be mistaken though, do not have a rulebook in front of me

yes Nekima looks like she would absolutely wreck some faces, sadly i do not have her model...actually dont want to deal with that much metal.... im hoping we can see a plastic version sometime soon-ish( which i know its probably still a ways off...)
-
I love both of those models... its a hard choice aesthetically.... but I do like running the mature when i have strats/schemes that require positioning of the enemy to accomplish...wing buffet is great for moving things where they do not want to be.... ( kind of goes well with the article in chronicles actually..)
Never played with nekima but she looks like an utter nightmare to be against....

id place myself in the painter category(poorly painted still counts ,right?) although lately ive been having some major issues with "painter's block" just cant seem to get the excitement going for it lately....
as to gaming, I really enjoy a game (especially malifaux games) but dont get to play that often
