Excellent writen, sounds like it was a fun fight as well!
-
Sounds mostly like my first game as well!! Only with switched roles, as I was playing the Red Chappel while my opponent had the Vikkies. Great times!!!
Now just keep shuffling the deck, man!! The show must go on!!!!

It is pretty crucial they advertise those links together, need to make their fluff stick out.
It's also silly when you click "Game" and it only gives you a vague couple paragraphs about the game, it is really far too difficult to find an overview for this game.
Thank god for tabletop geeks, 2 guys 1 board and lots of terrain, if it weren't for them i probably wouldn't have found this gem.
+1, BIG +1
I too never understood why they are not giving any info AT ALL on their game, on the official website! It doesn't help to sell their product and increase the number of players.
To me, Svenn and whoever more is on tabletopgeek is responsible for more Malifaux stuff sold than some of Wyrd's own crew, isf only for that, they should be Henchmen themselves

Great job and tutorial, hopefully someday I'll dare to try it myself!

Back again! Thanks for the kind words, I agree on that 2-dimensions on Bette, it's a bit weird, and I didnt notice it until I had it in my hands. Anyway I love that model, and while I somewhat don't like how those lips finally ended, I'm going to keep them as they are till I finish 100% my Redchappel and start retouching details.
The coffin was made by me and the corpse is really 3 different pieces that I found on my bitsbox, a foot, a hand, and an upper torso with head from dunno where. The smoke is done with a hot glue gun, and I'm still deciding if I'll fix Bette to the coffin permanently with some more smoke tendrils made from GS, of if I keep her as it is now, as it's easier for transporting it with base and model separated.
This week I've been working on Seamus. First of all I want to tell you how great working on it has been for me. It's been really a pleasure to try new techniques on tricks on it, and I'm really satisfied with it. Seamus itself is 99% done, and it's just some painting and detailing on the base left.
It's still a WIP so, but I wanted to show you how it's going, so I can hear some critisc and suggestions. As always the pictures are not the best, as I guess both the jacket and hat looks greyish while it's some very light blue.
Anyway I'm really happy I decided to start with the Belles and keep Seamus in cue until I relearned again some tricks so I could be more confident with brushes and all.
Hope you like it and please remember that criticism and suggestions are always welcomed.

I've got 6 Book1 Masters, but the truth is that I only got 2 crews, Viks' (I counted them as 2 individual Masters btw) and Seamus'.
The other Masters I've got (Lady J., Criid and Lilith) it's only because I liked their models, but I've got no interest (yet) on playing them.

First of all, thanks for your kind words, it really helps to keep the motivation high enough.
Well, yesterday I spent 3-4 hours on Bete and her base. My idea is to represent her popping out of a dead corpse on a coffin. Both the base and model are 99% painted, Bete exclusively on greys (except lips and daggers) inspirated both on the official icon :bete and from someone who I remembered did the same on this same forum, sorry I can't remember who, but thanks!
It was a real pleasure to paint her, and it was something I had never done before and that I think I performed quite decently for my skills.
As I said, it is almost fully painted, only a few minor details to fix, but I still have to fix her on top of the coffin and add some more tendrilswhich should be easy but I wanted to hear some critics and suggestions before, as it will be harder to retouch most things once I do it.
So here she is:

Now I'll start working on Seamus while waiting for feedback. Thanks in advance
Edit: a few more pictures can be see HERE

Amazing detailing, the skins and facial gestures on all the Belles are really superb. I am painting my Red Chappel right now as well, but I'm lightyears far away from you in detailing.
Great, great job. I love how much dead look your Belles. Bravo!

Man, those are not bad at all!! specially Rasputina and Viktoria's crew, where you did not abuse so much of drybrushing.
Very good job there, just keep those brushes active and I'm sure you'll improve your skills in no time!
And remember to update when you finish those bases!!

Back once again, this time with my third Belle finished, hope you like her:
Overall I like it pretty much, except for the hair, which I didn't get the effect I planned, but as I've still got to paint Seamus and Bete, and I'd like to have them finished for this saturday, I'll leave her as it is for now.
I fear the cards on her base are a bit too big, but I was afraid that smaller ones wouldn't be recognized (spelling?). Anyway I think they look nice, what do you think?
Well, I took a picture of the 4 Belles finished, just waiting for Seamus to start dancing!
As always, waiting for your critics and suggestions.
Thanks in advance if yuu liked it.

Actually, I've been using the 2 Hollow Waifs I already got and that I guess I'll never field anyway as I'm not a Levi player (at least not in the near future). I only bought them because I liked the models, and thinking on it, I guess it won't be that hard to customize like Belles... I'll see what I can do about it.
Thanks!!
P.D.-- Anyway, if someone knows of some models that fits the role, don't be shy and let me know!!

Hello there Malifriends!
I'm playing Seamus mostly and while I own the 3 official Rotten Belles and they're great, I feel like I often need 1-2 more in most of my games.
The problem lies in that I would not like to have repeated models in the gang, but I don't know of any other models out there who could fit well enough.
Does anyone know of any models who could work there?
Thanks in advance
-
I don't get why players should be restricted to starter boxes only, as those are not all efficient gamewise (not even talking about tournament environment) or even on soulstone costs (Seamus' is 18ss while Perdita's is 25, p.e.).
And what about summoned models?
-
Hi again! Even while I'm kinda slow, I keep working on my Red Chappel crew. Got 2 Belles and Sybelle finished (well, the bases till need some work as they're a bit plain, but that will wait until I finish them all), and the 3rd Belle is about half done. Then will be the time for Seamus himself and the lovely Bete.
So here is my latest update, hope you like them!
Belle 2:

And these are the ones finished till now:
As always, it will be a pleasure to receive any critics and suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I guess Seamus would be the one Charging, as with any other kind of movement action, Johan wouldn't even move at all before Seamus had the chance to charge.... but I'm not a Rules Lawyer of Marshall at all so I could very well be wrong here hehe

Aha, cool thanks!!!

Hello there, I've got one Puppet Deck, and let's say first that it's both a piece of art and a great game tool.
I love all the illustrations, but there is one that really intrigues me, as I can't tell who is it:
Who's the 2 of Rams?
I can't find any single character on the first book who fits with the illustration, so please, light me up on this.
-
Great job there!! Specially good on those eyes, intense!!!
-
You can see some other different angles HERE. The miniature is great, and makes for an almost perfect proxy
-
Thinking of buying Viktorias box, ronins, Taelor and maybe the convict gunslinger.
So thanks again
Well, Taelor is one of the starter crew, so with the box, the 3 Ronin and Gunslinger you've got it pretty much done.
Later you might even get Hamelin or some of the Freikorps (the Librarian fits fantastic with the Viks, imo), but that's another story...
-
Wow man, I'm lucky if I've finished 1 model in 3 days!!
Keep it going!!!
-
As I said before, it's freakin' awesome, but one thing worries me: can you move all that terrain (crates, buildings...) from game to game??
-
Simply amazing.
I want more!!!! :coolpics:

What about all the cards from the miniatures that are being sold nowadays?
