  1. This is most probably not the place to ask this but, when does Undead Psychosis end?

I had always played it that it lasted after the arget's next activation, but in my last game a friend started to talk that it might last until the end of the encounter... so?

  2. This eternal "soon" really pisses me off. It doesn't really look well when I'm trying to teach the game and I'm constantly having to look through pages and pages of printed Errata, Extra Errata, FAQs... my friends are always asking me why of this nonsense, and the worst of all is that I really can't answer nor that I understand it anyway :(

  3. I love taking both Datsue-Ba and the Onyro. Not only do they add more Terrifying to the list, both of them can target WP, which Seamus works brilliantly with Seamus's Trail of Fear. Also, Datsue-Ba continues with the speedy, objective theme, and both of them add some decent damage to the list.

Ummm, I had never thought about adding a Datsue-ba, and it sounds brilliant! I think I will proxy her once or twice to test how it works, but sounds like I will have to get one sooner or later!!! Thanks!

  4. As Seamus' Crew is not exactly full of damage dealers (outside of the one shot per turn .50 gun), Bete is a great addition, and she really stays within the theme (something important to me). She is also a nightmare for your opponent, as he knows that everytime he kills one of your models, she will pop out of nowhere with her paired knives ready to deal some pain.

While the Copycat is not exactly the best totem out there, that second .50 can really come in handy, and should he be killed soon enough, if you manage to have the cards, you can always call a new Belle from the corpse counter, so it's not really a big lost.

I still have to field some Hanged (they're on the mail along with Jack Daw, can't wait to have them!), but have heard many good things about them with Seamus. The same could be said about Killjoy, but it's really an expensive minion and you have to sacrifice another one in order to summon him, so he's out for me.

anyway, keep with your Belles and Sybelle, there's nothing wrong on them, and once you learn how to use them, the Redchappel Crew is a fearsome one.

    Welcome to the dandyness!!

  5. I guess that the effects of losing and getting slaughtered could be softened by having a fixed base Crew of, let's say, 15ss that everyplayer can always have available to play with. I would only allow for a max of 1 Unique to be part of it.

That way, staying on the Viktorias theme, I could still field 3 Ronin everygame no matter what happened on my previous games.

On Masters, I wouldn't punish them much, as they are the most important part of a Crew, and I guess that having a -1 (not a :-fate) in one stat chosen by the opponent should be enough. On Uniques it could be raised to -2 split on two different stats (or just a plain flat -2 in one).

You can still keep the card flipping for a chance to lessen tose effects, or even worsen them (a Black Joker would still kill), but keep in mind that, as thetang22 said, there would not be much soulstone earning from one game to another just by VP'ing, so the death of an expensive model can be desastrous for a Crew as it can take around 2-4 games to save enough to be able to hire it again.

  6. So what would you suggest?

Also, the rules I came up with punish non-unique characters way more than unique ones.

To me, it hurts more when you can't use Taelor (or any other key model for you) two games and Johan & Misaki one, as they all fell on the last game. As I lost I don't have many SS to hire new models into my Crew, but the worst of all is that even if I had won, as I am a newbie on this game, I only own the starter box, so in order to keep playing on this campaign I'm forced to buy more models. Not that I wouldn't like to have more of those great minis, but I was attracted into the game when I heard that I didnt have to have more than 5 or 6 minis, and now I see that in order to be competitive, or at least to keep playing, I need around 10-12.....

    See where I'm going?

  7. What happens if someone gets totally slaughtered on a game, AND got 0 VP (or very few anyway) on it, AND he had previously wasted all his Soulstones hiring for that game?

That person couldn't play anymore as had no resources to hire, and no way to get some more... Sorry but that is something that would happen for sure sooner or later, and I bet that more than one would be on that situation just after the first round.

I'd set a fixed number of minimum soulstones earned each round to prevent that stuff. If you're going to play 25ss Scraps, then something around 15-20 at least (and I'd say 20).

Masters should always fully recover for the next round, imo

  8. Yes, another one... The third demo in 3 month! Is a kind of success for me... :D

This one will be made it in the "Ayudar Jugando" (help playing it!) convention. Is a charity convention, that wants that all children (yes, that includes the Dreamer!) can get a toy for Xmas...

Many game demos, tourneys, a charity auction... all for kids!

We contribute this year with demos of Malifaux and a few tables for free games.

As always, you are welcome to come and play! :D

    I'll be there!! :bounce:

  9. Sorry for thread hijacking, but I really ask myself the same questions like the OP and there is no reason to open two of the sme threads:

Well, what about the following as a starter:

    Viktorias

    Ronin

    Taelor

    Misaki

That would give me a pure female party, something I always wanted to do. I just can´t decide betwen that and a Perdita crew for a starter list.

    ZK

That is exactly what I did, and don't regret that at all. That crew is just great and can do wonders on the melee side of the moon. It's only backdraw if the fact that only Taelor can take a beating and still keep fighting, as all the others are plain glasshammers.

Adding Hamelin to that list will allow you to get some really needed crowd control on the table, with some neat tricks. It is kind of expensive on soulstones tho.

The Convict Gunslinger is always welcomed, and do his job really well, something to consider.

From that, Freikorps will be a great addition to the crew, giving some nice ranged firepower. They are strong vs Wp heavy spells and effects, so really helpful when fighting Pandora, p.e.

As others said, many will argue about getting Bishop and Johan, as the first is really expensive and not a heavy hitter, and the other is similar to Taelor, but not as good, imo.

Anyway, as you can see, there are plenty of options to take with the Vikkies, but most are from costy to expensive, so you won't be able to field many at the same time. This will change somewhat with the Desperate Mercenary, but not much if you ask me.

  10. Do you have a ftp site I can upload them to, they are a bit big for emailing. PM me details.

Sorry Ratty but, did you receive the PM?

I don't know how to create an FTP server (could investigate it on the Web tho), nor have access that I know to any. The easiest way I can think is uploading it all with megaupload/rapidshare so I can download it, or send me it via YouSendIt or some other similar service/program.

  11. you have to do a bit of combining layers, IE make the right bits visible to make the card... and some layers have had to be rasterised.. but I think none that you will need to change, I think it was Som'er name as the type face didn't have a apostraphy and some numbers.

Well, I'm not an artist or Photoshop genius, but I think I can give it a try. Anyway, I've got two friends that are really good on it and they play Malifaux too, so it will be easy to make them help me (or even do the job entirely!)
